I like Augua and Captn Carrot. They make a good team.

Carrot... a man who can bluff the head of the guild with nothing more than an honest expression and the truth...

Then there is the Partiarch and his pet inventor...

As I pointed out in the other Pratchett thread... (TWO pratchett threads... did I DIE?)... I'm not familiar with this 'death' fellow... do you mean good ol' Bill?

But, you got to love Rincewind... where is he always running to? Doesn't matter, it's the 'FROM' that's important...

Whats Discworld?

*waves hi to Grave* :)

Hi hi, honey child.

Discworld is a series (a big series, now) of books written by a very 'English' author... with a very 'English' sense of humour.

Despite that, he is becoming quite popular in the US, now - although still hard to get hold of, down our way.... try a Barnes and Noble.

It's a series of fantasy stories, set on a world which is a big disk, on the backs of four elephants, balanced on a big turtle (cookie for the first person to NAME the turtle...)

Very funny, highly sarcastic... almost all of the books take a surreal look at modern phenomena, transposed onto a fantasy backdrop.

Anyone who can play BSJ's organ, "invent" the motorcycle, and manipulate L-space is pretty cool.

Fred Colon, Foul Ole Ron (Millenium hand and shrimp!), Susan Sto Helit/Death, C.M.O.T. Dibbler, and Greebo are my other favorites.
