Iraq Elections
Do you think that the Bush and Blair governments will accept it if (and probably when) the people of Iraq democratically elect a fundamentalist Islamic government?

An interesting question. It all depends on how many international observers are there, and who said-observers are.
Assuming they do elect one, I imagine B&B will protest, but I doubt they'll do anything serious until it's too late. People don't realize democracy can be just a dangerous as totalitarianism.

I'd like to think they have no choice, but where these clowns are concerned, who knows what will happen? I wouldn't be in the least surprised to see the January elections delayed due to security concerns and never rescheduled.

I doubt the US and Britain will have fair election. I think this will be a repeat of Post World War II Europe where, recent documents and testimonials prove, the US rigged the Election. The Communist won 60 % of the Votes in Italy, 50 something in France, and I think 45 in West Germany. We used the Corsicorian Mafia to rig the election. So the communist won the actual votes - 20%. The largest and oldest party in Iraq is the Iraqi Communist Party, so it would be halarious if they won and nationalized the oil industry. I think it will be a fraud like Afganistan was, we only accept democracy if it puts in a Pro-American government.
Bah. The "elections" in Iraq WILL be rigged, knowing the Bush administration. And they're so full of fundies anyway, that they won't care if the new Iraq government is Fundamentalist, and when questioned, they'll lie and say that they don't support funamentialism. Damn bastards.

They would have to. It would, however, suck for everyone.
