That's been going on for a good while. Bellbottom jeans were in style when I was in high school (and possibly beforehand), and peasant blouses were on the racks throughout my highschool years.

I think the next trend is to go retro to the year 2000.

I think that this punk black stuff is gay man. We should be like it was ini the 60's and 70's (black useing as a culture not a race)

Yeah, I saw that in an Old Navy commercial. I believe they said "Who would have guess that leg warmers are back?" Of course they are coming back into fashion if you tell people it is the new trend! I really hate stores that force trends.

60s and 70s coming back?

Well I don't think historical figures like MLK and JFK are going to rise from the grave. I think civil rights are much better than they used to be. Some might argue that Iraq is a new Vietnam, but it's a different time and place alltogether.

As far as emulation is concerned, people have been re-hashing old music ever since music was invented. If it sounds familiar, it probably is.

Civil rights have moved to the homosexual community. Who knows, maybe we'll get some damn charismatic people again.

I personally can't wait for the hippies to come back, just so I could be a straightedge one. Then my mission to totally boggle people's minds will be complete :p

I don't like the communist aspect or the drugs but i wish it was more carefree now like it was then, you didnt really have to worry about all the things we have to today....

The civil rights weren't stellar.

There was the Cold War.

It was a fairly patronizing time.

There was horrendous government and corporate abuses, too.

Scandal was just swept under the rug.

The good old days weren't always as good as we remember them... :)
