Disproving that Hell exists

First, understand that I for all my life so far have been in the Catholic/Christian faith. Now, that has changed (theres a long story behind it) - but i'm not of any main religion nor Aethism. ;)

Anyways, in about 5 minutes I came up with solid evidence through thought alone that Hell cannot possibly exist as a place as most religions think of it to be. Here is what I have:

0) *Hell is mainly thought as the place bad people go when they die.* They are said to be forsaken from God - eternally separated from Him.

So...

1) God is everywhere, God is everything, God is Infinity - Therefore, part of God would also have to be Hell. How can you be eternally separated from God if part of him is this little place called Hell?

2) God is all-knowing - Therefore, God would constantly be aware of Hell and everyone in it. No eternal separation from God there either...

3) If God is everywhere then there would be no place for Hell to exist.

I believe that Hell is not a place, but a state of mind. Everyone will eventually return to Oneness with God, because why would God forsake anyone?

What's everyones opinion on this?

I don't happen to believe in all this anymore, but I can tell you what a theologian would reply to the original post: "God can isolate a portion of the universe as a Hell and turn His back on that portion of His creation." :)

I'm not a good christian but I'll give it a shot.

You are taking a charachteristic of God on the terrestrial plane and applying to metaphysical planes of existence without using any evidence to validate your claims.

That is, God maybe everywhere in the universe, but is not everywhere in the afterlife.

Well not saying anywhere near omniposcent[sp], but I am aware of Saddam Hussein but I am really quite seperate from him.

That is, being aware about someone/somepeople does not automatically lead onto a connection between the aware and the people who the aware is aware of.

3) If God is everywhere then there would be no place for Hell to exist.

This is not a new concept, and in many ways make far more sence then the traditional heaven/hell setup.

However the traditional answer to, "why would God forsake anyone?" Tends to be, God doesn't forsake us, our actions whilst alive seperate ourselves from God. It is us, not him that create the seperation, and we damn ourselves by our actions, God does not damn anyone.

Finally someone else that understands this.
