The Middle East is located in South-west Asia. North Africa is considered part of the Middle East as well..
so yeah, Israel would be Asia.

but also Israel and Turkey and many former Soviet states are included in the Eurovision song contest and Europe's football groupings.
Also Tel Aviv and other Israeli towns are very western, and cannot be considered Asian !
