My local zealous christian extremist leader is currently on TV, telling us how evil TV is.
Infact, "The media is controlled by witchcraft, it consists of evil, mind altering things. It's divination! divination is altering the mind of people... of things!"

Why do the nutjobs always give Christianity a bad name?
Butcherstan
27-12-2004, 14:17
because the nutjobs are christian, and preach it.
Well, those people aren't your average Christian. Look at Billy Graham. He's been preaching the Gospel for too many years to count.
Who is this guy, BTW?
New Fuglies

Bill Graham is a nutjob.
Butcherstan
27-12-2004, 14:22
this guy is Brian Tamaki.
His church has formed a political party, they are running for parliament in my country next year.
All Christians aren't crazy like that guy at the beginning of the thread. I don't think that all liberals are fat guys who make movies full of half-truths and tries to pass them off as documentaries...that's only Michael Moore.
Ok, never heard of him.
And I don't believe that's right for him to form a Christian political party. That's not the church's job.
Butcherstan
27-12-2004, 14:26
yeah didn't think so, he's a New Zealander, heard of that place?
No, it's not right for him to do that, but nothing is stopping him, and sadly if he plays his cards right he'll probably get a seat or two.

and they've got converted idiots in Australia too ...
Ps Brian is a committed family man. Married to Hannah, they have three children, Jasmine, Jamie, and Samuel, all of whom are married and serve with their spouses in Destiny Church Auckland. Of further significance is the fact that Pastor Brian has five generations in the House with him today, his grandmother, parents, children and grandchildren.
His ministry is not limited to Destiny Churches however. Pastor Brian is the only New Zealand preacher that airs on a national television broadcast (TV2) into the homes of thousands of viewers every day. This television ministry known as Destiny TV, has been broadcasting for over four years now, and has recorded literally thousands of responses from people who have been healed and empowered by his ministry.
(Sure, spends a lot of time on the Witchcraft communications medium ...)

You are a devoutly religious person. Do you:
A. Go to church/temple every week
B. Donate money to charity
C. Attend a certain large PAC headed by Pat Robertson
D. Bomb an abortion clinic

Yes, but the government refuses to recognise it as a legit religion. So unfair!
Butcherstan
28-12-2004, 14:00
Yeah, technically if 4000 people claimed to believe in a certain religion in the 4-yearly national cencus then it must be recognised as an "official religion" and included in the nest census.
Unfortunately the government decided to overrule that rule for this case

In this government ruling, was there some number as a majority who ruled? Was it unanimous? Which members of the governing body ruled against Jedinity?
My choice is Christianity. I recommend this religion for everyone.

No one can be wrong about everything (well theoretically but not in practice)
