I am taking a poll to find out if you ******** your *****. I will just ask one question. It will tell me a whole lot. Once it closes I will tell you all what words are in those little stars.
Yes, because I'm a bi-sexual, liberal, wicca-practicing, God-hating, Catholic

No not really.
But I guess it's different when your put in the real situation and when your life is really under threat, than thinking about it at your computer.

Christians never die. Our souls leave our mortal bodies and we go to Heaven. Hence, there is no reason to fear.
Oops, I'm a non-christian, and I accidentally voted no, meaning yes. Oh the evils of whiskey. Anyway, death scares the hell out of me (no pun intended).

As a non-Christian, I am not afraid. Looking at two rational possibilities, it seems pretty painless. And no, I did not vote in the poll. Go me!
I am.
I think anyone who says they're not is either deluding themselves or is a very depressed person.
Incidentally, I'm not a christian.

I'm not afraid in the least. Why would I be? What's so scary about death?
Then again, I have no problems with change or the unknown, so...
Oh, and from personal experience, I've found religious people to be more likily to be scared of death then non-religious/spiritual people...

Why? What is there to be afraid of?

we were all created with souls that never die. it's just where we end up is the tricky part.

Not Christian ... I'm Muslim ... I have absolutely no fear of death. Spiders? A little, but not death.

Don't worry I didn't vote, since I'm no longer a christian but a muslim. In answer to your question, I'm not afraid to die. In fact I'm eager to die preferably as a saheed so that I may go instantly to paradise.

I am a Christian, so no.
BUT....
I will admit I have not yet been baptized, so at the moment if I did die then it would be very bad.
I'm a Christian and I'm not afraid to die.
Well, I'm not afraid of where I'm going when I die. I'm a little afraid of how I'm gonna die, but not after.

Ack, I forgot this was Christians only and voted yes (sorry) because there are people I do not wish to leave behind, regardless of what lies beyond.

I don't dig pain, but leaving this earthly world means receiving a perfect, heavenly body and being in the presence of the Most High Father.

Exactly.
What is so scary about dying? Admittedly, I don't want to die now, there are still things left in this world that I want to do, but if the Father calls me then how can I say no?
So are you going to tell us what the asterisks stand for?

I'm a Jesus Freak.
The thought of the process of dying is a little scary to me, as I don't care for pain much. BUt actually being dead holds no fear for me.

Yes. Its the uncertainty that really scares me though. I mean, what is heaven really like? I know its good, but I like the way things are too.
Plus I haven't been baptised.

christians are HUMAN. all humans are afraid of death. maybe not all the time or every time they think about it, but all humans are afraid of death. faith does not take away your humanity, it just gives you a way to deal with the fear.

Well I am afraid of death but that is because I am rather young and would prefer to experience the better things in life and understand more about the world and myself. To die means to fail and I have a fear of failure, so ultimately I fear death as failure not death just as in passing from this world. Yes, probably due to human nature I will always have some fear of death but I fear failure much more than death.

I'm afraid of dying, as I imagine the process to be painful.
But I'm not afraid of death. I do follow fundemental Christian morals, but I don't hope for eternal life. I hope to just end. And I'm looking forward to that.
Hell would be to die and to find out that life still goes on for me...

BUT....
I will admit I have not yet been baptized, so at the moment if I did die then it would be very bad.
Tiger,
If baptisim is a requirement for salvation, how did the thief on the cross enter heaven when Jesus told him "I tell you the truth, this day you will be with me in paradise?" Was Jesus lying, or is baptisim not required for salvation?

Hadesofunderworld, stop digging up ancient threads and adding "nothing posts" to them. It's called gravedigging, and it's against the rules. See the link in my signature.
