Iraq DOES have WMDs! It's just that "WMDs" is the way Bush re-named "oil", and "weapons of mass destruction" is the way Bush renamed the non-abbreviated version "petroleum"! I found the answer to why were "WMDs" found!

Actually, the Polish did find artillery shells just lying on the side of the road. And there was cerin gas in the artillery shells. They were SUPPOSED to be destoryed in '91, but I guess thety got overlooked

Yes. Yes it was actually.

No. No it wasn't actually. It was a most silly over-reaction.

Abusing one's opponent instead of countering the argument is far too easy, and far too common, a reaction.

The "argument" in this instance was poor, you have merely enhanced it by a personal attack on the author.

Such an attack does nothing to demolish his/her case or to improve yours - in short it is counter-productive.

If you want to win sympathy for you opponent, and make yourself look foolish, then you have succeeded.

If you wanted any other result, then you have failed miserably.

I wouldn't dispute that for a moment.

But that makes the over-reaction look even sillier.

Dumb and dumber you might say.

I bet this is what happened with the polish:

they were delivering the 15 tons of sausage that they promised, as their big contribution to the war. as they were driving by they saw these tube-like things that would be perfect for making sausage. then they use some strange algorithm to find sarin gas and turn it into sausages.

Ah yes, the mighty polish, with thier mighty Polish war carriage and six-man army. On the battlefield, the most commen sound is, "Pass the blunderbus, Yushenko!" May the Polish half-dozen force be forever blessed in combat!

Something my friend keeps repeating about the Polish.

You mean the Iraqis were supposed to destroy all the hundreds of millions in WMDs the US sold to them? Sold to them while they were gassing the Kurds and being defended by the Reagan and Bush1 Administrations?

Well I'll be damned!

The weapons were sold to Saddam in the '80s. The weapons were used in the 90's. And then the gulf war started out. And every last one of them was supposed to be destroyed, but appearently they weren't.

Your repeated attempts at what I can only presume is meant to be humour aimed at the Polish is both boorish and offensive, and adds nothing to this thread. Kindly desist.

And, for the record, I am Australian. I just happen to find any form of xenophobic humour offensive and tasteless.

The story I heard was that Saddam's scientists were lying to him. He thought he had them, so he didn't let the inspectors in. THe CIA was a little too good, and they managed to get ahold of the same reports that Saddam was getting, so we thought he had them. Turns out, it was all a lie.
