Nine times out of ten, a suicide message on the internet is a sad thirteen year old trying to get attention.
The other times, its a nerd who attempts to hang himself with his mousecord, or slit his wrist with a CD. Then he says:
"OMG! I almost scratched my vintage Age of Empires disk! Well, I guess I better put off suicide until I can find another one."
He then gets absorbed in Ultima Online and forgets about suicide, instead he concentrates on the monsters chasing him.

Yeah but there are a few real cases where someone actually did commit suicide...right on a web-cam. So I don't believe that telling a person who might be pretending to go ahead and do it is constructive. And most peoople are here to get attention anyway, and given that bad behavior is rewarded with negative attention in online forums, its no wonder that people will misbehave.
By the way, Land. Things change...you might win the lottery tomorrow..you just never know

If your support breathing, then suicide isnt a good option.
Just one thing though, if you have to do it, dont do it in a park. My dad works in the National Park System (Formerly the Park Manger of Fort Stevens, Oregon.) and it generates huge piles of paperwork and bad publicity for the park workers, generaly of the 'How could you not have stopped this? Why were you not able to psychicaly determine what this person was going to do?"
Plus its disconcerting when people who shot themselves out on the Jetty wash up on a family beach resort.
And make sure you do it right, screwing up will result in a long painful death, or a long and painful life. Or maybe a long and boring life strapped to a bed.

Or the person could try seeking psychological or psychiatric aid. That is what my mother forced me to do when I was depressed. I found out that I was clinically depressed, and did really want to die. But therapy--primarily the chemical aspect, as the verbal therapy wasn't effective for me--helped me quite a bit. I suggest you consider it, Land of blood. I was not really willing at first, tellign my mother I was not in any need of psychological assistance, but I was proven very wrong.

Then just get over your condition; like 5 yrs ago (AT AGE 10!!!!) my parents and everybody were complete assholes to me all that year; and while I still harbor some anger against them you don't see me ub3r-depressed

It's not always quite so easy to get over clinical depression, not to mention all the other problems she listed. For some people that works, but it really depends.

That's a very good thing. Try to focus on it and carve out a future for yourself. Are particularly good at any subject?

Galliam, I'm not amused. It is an extremely... insensitive thing to try and condone suicide to someone, and you are, quite honestly, not helping the situation.
To everyone who has been honestly trying to be helpful, thank you. I'm going to lock this thread (thanks to shining examples of what not to do like Galliam) and hopefully those who are trying to help will continue to follow up via telegrams.
Bi-Polar (formerly "Manic-Depressive") is a medically treatable condition. One important determination is "rapid-cycling v non-rapid-cycling".
You don't treat a rapid cycler with anti-depressants, they won't work. You treat them with mood stabilizers, such as Strattera. This works, and keeps working.
The important thing would be to find counselling - does your school have a counsellor on staff?
