Rent-A-Kid

I was watching this movie on the TV, now it was based for Comedy.

But the theory was, you could rent kids from an orphanage, for a small deposit fee, for about a week. You find out how you do with kids, if your compatible with the kids, if not, then they go back at the end of the week. You learn some lessons about parent hood and all that, and, you don't have to make a 'Huge' decision without the chance to change your mind later.

So I was just wondering what you all thought of the idea? Personally I think in Real Life it would actually be quite brilliant, if the kids agreed to it. The orphanages would make some money, so they could be come better. More people would probably adopt, simply because they could 'try' it, and if it worked then hurrah.

Anyways, let's hear your thoughts, oh and Merry Christmas/Any other Holiday you may celebrate around this time eh?

I think it would be way too hard on kids who are probably pretty emotionally fragile anyway. For one thing, you'd have people doing it who are only a little serious about it, so they wouldn't necessarily be as good (read: dedicated) parents as the people who actually do enter the commitment to adopt a kid. Also, you might have kids getting emotionally attatched to adults who just wanted to get rid of them at the end of the week.
