They are all the same. They feature 3 main character types:
1) The "unknowing people trying to embrace the holidays"
2) The "religous-type people helping Type 1 people embrace the holidays"
3) The "heathen" character who almost spoils the holidays; often Types 1 and 2 people must team up to "beat" this person (IE force the holidays upon them)
And few to none of the X-mas specials in particuar truly deal w/what the holiday is about (instead of discussing the birth of Christ they all rant about how ya have to be good 'coz Santa's coming). And I don't think I've ever seen any Ramadan religious specials . . .
Plus, holiday specials have to go and bump regular *good* programming off the air for the week (like Gundam SEED on CTN, The Daily Show on Comedy Central, etc)
