I would tend to think that people who love NS woud love games like Civilization III and SimCity (Although I was thoroughly dissappointed with Sim City 4). Do you guys like these games? Also, what other games do you think NSers would tend to like?

Empire Earth and its x-pac, the Age of Empires Series, and Rise of Nations and its x-pac would seem fitting for many people here.
On an OT note, why were you disappointed by SimCity 4? I found it to be almost perfect. The only flaw would be the damn transportation system, which wasn't fixed in SC4: Rush Hour...
Black and white is good, Civilisation Rawks! I've played that ever since the first one was released, I still got the floppy disks somwhere :p
Republic the Revolution would've been the holy grail kinda game for NS'ers I think, too bad it was well, so bad :P
I've never really been a big fan of Sim City, it concentrates too much on the basics of administration/city planning, not enough government.
One game I think NS'ers would LOVE is quite old, called conflict: middle east political simulator. I first played it YEARS ago on the amiga, basically you're the newly elected premier of israel and you have to manage it through turbulent middle eastern conflicts and diplomacy. You can actually get it for free now, I highly recommend it : http://www.the-underdogs.org/game.php?gameid=225
Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri.
Alpha centauri, Civ 3 are all good... Can never beat a good game of starcraft tho.
Civ.III is pretty good (addicting, but kinda boring after a few hours).
Black&White looks sweet, I'm downloading it now. Thanks for the suggestion!
HL2 DM and CS:S. You'll know me if you find me in a server...

I suppose SimCity 4 dissappointed me because I was hoping for an improved SimCity game. Instead it seemed they totally revamped the system of how the game is played. I mean I'm sure other people may like it better that way, but it was to The Sims-ish for me. So many annoying events happening at once. Day and night? Wah?? I liked SimCity 2000 and 3000. I still think SimCity 3000's ticker is the coolest ticker ever.
BTW has anyone ever gotten highways to work in SimCity 3000? They never work for me.

Yeah, I like the SimCity games, though I've only played the original and 2000. Rollercoaster Tycoon, the C&C Series, StarCraft, Emperor: Battle for Dune, WarHammer ones (like Dawn of War), and some other random, little-known ones I've found. I also play lots of RPGs, shooters, action/adventure, and other console games, but that's a different story.
The Age of Empires Series and anything by Sid Meier for me.

Obviously, I like Civ. and Civ: Call to Power. Also liked Diablo and Diablo 2. I also agree with the poster earlier in the thread... American McGee's "Alice" is fantastic.

worth the money you think? I mostly play CoD for the multiplayer anyway, it's a bigger challenge.

Diablo II rocks, but you can't really enjoy the first Diablo II knowing that there's an AWESOME expansion pack out there...
Eh, I don't particularly like the Civilization games. I prefer Real-Time over Turn-based as far as strategy games go (Rise of Nations remains my favorite RTS of all time); same goes for RPGs, though it's not as big a deal with me with RPGs as much as strategy-simulation games. Homeworld's pretty cool, too; I love the Plasma Bomber to death. Fifty of those puppies can rip through anything faster than you can say "cataclysm."
