They're prolly mainly talking about the extremists like Rush and such, but just lump him together with the rest. They really shouldn't, since there's no doubt some respectable conservatives out there. It's just a habit each side does. The usual stereotyping.
Or maybe I'm wrong and there are no respectable talk radio hosts of either the left or right. Maybe no one wants to listen to a respectable person, and everybody wants to hear a raving lunatic who inappropiately badmouths anybody who isn't on their side of the political spectrum.

okay - the most popular radio talk show hosts are Ruch Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly as well as Ann Coulter, when she appears as guests. Listen to them talk for a half hour and you can understand. All they do is preach about the vil of liberalism and how no one but people like themselves should have rights. Its just pure hatred towards others. I'm sure there are one or two conservative talk show hosts that are worth listening to, but honestly, for the major ones, its nothing but hate.
In regards to normal FOX news there are several things. First, most of the anchors are self-proclaimed republicans. Second, they had to change their logo from 'fair and balanced' to 'we report, you decide'. They tried tos ue someone over the use of 'fair and balanced' but they couldn't prove that they were fair and balanced.
In other normal news reports, they choose to slander people instead of just report. For example: in the case where the families were complaining that Rumsfeld used a machine to stamp the condolence letters, FOX reported that the families were long-time Bush haters. Why? It really didn't have any bearing on the report, they just added it to make those two families that lost their kids in Iraq look bad. Does that strike you as wrong?
In the other case where the army specialist asked about Humvee armor, FOX reported that his unit had armor, even though he was stationed in Kuwait. he asked about units in Iraq that needed armor. FOX left that out, they just commented on his unit. What about the ones actually in Iraq?

Well....to my knoledge...bill doesn't have a radio show.....Rush i think has lost his credibility....The only people i listed to are Glen Beck and Sean Hannity.....i don't like coulter....she needs a man.....I still don't see what hate it is....i want an example.....i don't think that the anti-bush ralleys get enough coverage though.....as in the fact that all they are is pure hate.....especially when you are burning someone in effigey.....and it happens often...i cited @ least one example in another thread and gave a link to it..etc....
Moveon.org sued Fox about the motto.....and they didn't win..they still say fair and balanced...and they also say we report you decide.....
And sean hannity is the second most listened to person on the radio..and the most listened to person o nthe internet....so i would think he is pretty major...

Bill appears on the radio, some of my friends listen to him. Limbaugh is still very popular in Arizona. Glen beck I've never heard and I think Hannity is more hate-filled than Rush. Did you here his thing on gays? It was repugnent. The anti-Bush rallys don't get coverage because they aren't hot news items anymore. Just on the opposite side, the anti-Kerry rallies were pretty much just as bad.
I watched FOX in the gym a few days ago. They don't say fair and balanced because they wern't able to prove it in court. Their official motto is now 'we report you decide'

I'll clear this one up. In his book Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and balanced look at the Right Al Franken gives his own account of Fox's lawsuit against him. The could neither prove that "Fair and balanced" was copyrighted, nor that they were indeed Fair and balanced. According to Franken, Fox was "literally laughed out of court."
Franken notes that Fox still use "Fair and balanced", but much less than they used to.

Moveon sent a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission about Fox's use of the slogan "fair and balanced." They didn't file a lawsuit. The FTC has thus far declined to take any action, not even so much as an investigation.

Hmm, really? Not that smart of you to bring up blaming someone idioticly for the Florida hurricanes and MoveOn.Org in the same sentence.
Why, you might ask?
MoveOn.Org blamed George W Bush for the hurricanes.

LOL. I love nutcases from either side. Bush couldn't have done anything. I think he could at least make the attempt to slow down global warming, but the storm would still have come.

Not that there's enough proof to even say that Global Warming is fact, but, oh well...

Global warming is a pretty well documented fact. There are a lot of studies showing that the average temperature of the earth is rising, certainly that of the oceans, and this does have an effect on weather. AS to the talk radio peoples, i don't listen to them much. I've tried, but they are all to extreme. I think it is a side effect of being on the radio, they have to say something outrageous in order to have people listen to them. Presenting a meaningful dialogue on issues is generally boring and requires the admitting of rather difficult truths, which we are loathe to do.

No--Moveon noted that Bush was awfully good at handing out relief money but wasn't so good when it came to dealing with the way humans in general and the US in particular deal with climate change, especially our part in it. You might actually try reading the pieces you post links to sometimes.
