Favorite (Unconventional) Christmas Songs

Well it's getting closer and closer to that time of year, and by chance I've managed to avoid endless Christmas songs this year. It actually made me miss some of my favorite ones, A Fairytale of New York and Christmas With The Devil by The Pogues and Spinal Tap respectively being the ones I've most fond of. Since I haven't had to suffer through them, care to share any of your favorite unconventional Christmas songs, the one's that are't all "isn't Xmas grand".

I like the '12 days of christmas' song that was made up for a radio station by our local porn shop. That was entertaining.

Yes, I always get a tear in my eye listening to that one, reminds me Christmases when I was growing up. I understand why The Pogues had to dump Shane, but it was still a loss.

i've listened to all of shane's post pogues work, "the snake" is pretty good, "crock o' gold"(?) is spotty at best, but the pogues without shane are just a moderately folky longue act that i don't care for at all.

Yep, but a band can only survive so long with a hard-core heroin addict fronting for them, and employment becomes spotty. heck Morphine lost Sandman when they were begining to make it really big, and he was nowhere near the junkie Shane was/is.

i always thought shane was more of an extreme alcoholicThere are more than a few credible stories floating arround about his heroin habit and he's been in detox several times, although last I heard he was denying using heroin. he looks and acts like a heroin addict to me, but he doesn't have a light hand with the bottle either. Puking on the audience works in some forums, but isn't good for the big time these days. Seriously, i'm surprised he's still alive, I don't think he would have managed that if he had stayed with The Pogues. Yes, your assessment of post-Shane Pogues agrees with mine, but I understand why they split.

did you see the recent documentary on him(can't remember the name) he looks like absolute shit and laughs like a deranged muppet, but god he still has that strange charm, that make you want to buy him a drink even as he's cursing you in a voice almost to ravaged and slurred to understand.

Come on...hands down it has to be the Grinch song...

You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch,
You really are a heel,
You're as cuddly as a cactus,
You're as charming as an eel, Mr. Grinch.
You're a bad banana with a greasy black peel!

You're a monster, Mr. Grinch,
Your heart's an empty hole,
Your brain is full of spiders,
You've got garlic in your soul, Mr. Grinch.
I wouldn't touch you with a thirty-nine-and-a-half foot pole!

You're a foul one, Mr. Grinch,
You have termites in your smile.
You have all the tender sweetness
Of a seasick crocodile, Mr. Grinch.
Given the choice between the two of you I'd take the
seasick crocodile!

You're a rotter, Mr. Grinch,
You're the king of sinful sots,
Your heart's a dead tomato splotched
With moldy purple spots, Mr. Grinch.
You're a three decker sauerkraut and toadstool sandwich
with arsenic sauce!

You nauseate me, Mr. Grinch,
With a nauseous super "naus",
You're a crooked dirty jockey
And you drive a crooked hoss, Mr. Grinch.
Your soul is an appalling dump heap overflowing with the
most disgraceful assortment of rubbish imaginable
mangled up in tangled up knots!

You're a foul one, Mr. Grinch,
You're a nasty wasty skunk,
Your heart is full of unwashed socks,
Your soul is full of gunk, Mr. Grinch.
The three words that best describe you are as follows, and
I quote, "Stink, stank, stunk!"

The Chimney Song by the Bob Rivers Comedy Corp. It starts like this:

There's something stuck up in the chimney
And I don't know what it is,
But it's been there all night long.
Well, I waited up for Santa all Christmas night
But he never came and it don't seem right...
