Half Life 2 - Worth The Cash?

Well, I downloaded the demo of it and loved it. I'm getting Halo 2 for Christmas so I'll be playing that for a fair old while...But to those that own it, is it good and is it worth my not so hard earned cash?

I leeched hl2 as well, been playing the single player campaign. which is fun, but not worth 45 euro. i am however considering buying the game for the multiplayer. if the hl2 versions of cs and DoD become popular it'll definetally be worth the cash to buy hl2. So I'm gonna wait and see, maybe buy it in a few months.

It's a great game, but I don't think it's worth full price.
If I was you i'd wait for a few months and get it on budget release, because the steam set up system is a nightmare....took me 4 hours jsut to get it to run.
though that may be because i'm crap.lol

Heh,Im gonna get it for Christmas. Cannot wait!!! I think its worth it. Course,Im getting like 4 other games for Christmas so ill probably be quite busy. :headbang: :mp5: :sniper: :gundge:

I say it's worth the cash, it's arguably the best PC game ever, probably the best first person shooter ever. It's the largest and fastest growing fps community around, and it's the best platform for future developement that exists today. If you have any interest in game modding, or just in playing a great single player fps with a million multiplayer mods in the works or already released Half Life 2 is definitely worth the time and money.

The bullet time mod is a blast, especially when you shoot someone in the head with the magnum. :sniper:
