Why I think Ann Coulter is a B*tch

The Lightning Star
22-12-2004, 07:11
First of all, I would like to say that I am an (un-offical) republican/republican supporter/bush-supporter. Ok, now that that is over with...

I dis-like Ann Coulter alot because she is so friggen ARROGANT! I mean, LOOK AT HER! Here are a few thing's she has said. "The liberals are deliberatly targeting black republicans."(O'Reilly Factor).

Here's a clip from HER OWN WEBSITE="Still furious about the election, liberals are lashing out at blacks. First it was Condoleezza Rice. But calling a Ph.D. who advised a sitting president during war "Aunt Jemima" apparently hasn't satiated the Democrats' rage. Even the racist cartoons didn't help.

So this week, they've turned with a vengeance to Clarence Thomas. Only the Democrats would try to distract from their racist attacks on one black Republican by leveling racist attacks against a different black Republican. If Democrats don't nip this in the bud, soon former Klanner and Democratic Sen. Bob Byrd will be their spokesman."

I mean, COME ON! Not even I would say that! LIES, I say, ALL LIES!

Let's take a look over here...

" White liberals have been indulging their fantasies of violence against conservatives lately – physically attacking conservatives, ransacking Bush-Cheney headquarters (though not any NRA headquarters, I note). The white wife of vice presidential candidate John Edwards recently warned of riots unless Kerry is elected.

In the midst of this rash of violence by white liberals, this week Al Gore admonished a group of blacks not to engage in violence over the election. Perhaps Gore should have saved that speech for a convocation of Moveon.org members.

And Democrats wonder why they have to ask white people to hold "African-Americans for Kerry-Edwards" signs at their rallies – as happened in St. Petersburg, Fla., last Saturday. The Kerry campaign is hemorrhaging black voters like teenaged girls fleeing an R. Kelly house party. None of the Democrats' top black leaders – Jesse, Al, Bill Clinton – has been able to stem the tide."

I mean, I'm a good conservative and I know alot of good conservative. We believe in our causes, rally together, debate (kindly and like gentlemen) with our liberal friends (key word= FRIENDS), but this lady has taken it too far! Seriously!

This is but the tip o' the iceburg, people. Below, at www.anncoulter.org , there is more to be seen.

Excerpt from an email I sent to Mrs. Coulter....

Since you advocate overturning women's rights to vote and the like.... develope a little consistency and SHUT DOWN YOUR WEBSITE... you shouldn't have the right to SPEAK EITHER by your logic. Be the nice little "woman" and keep your mouth shut....

First it was Condoleezza Rice. But calling a Ph.D. who advised a sitting president during war "Aunt Jemima" apparently hasn't satiated the Democrats' rage.

Not that Coulter has ever let facts get in the way, that guy was a liberal Libertarian, and has long been openly critical of both parties. He's out of Madison, and was my role model for political thinking and independent thought as I was growing up in rural WI. I find it funny that his only apology for that was to Aunt Jemima.

Coulter and her ilk are cut from the same cloth as Bin Laden. Such extremists tear the world apart, when it would be far better if they'd tear each other apart.

The most apt book title ever? Slander. Such truth in advertising is refreshing.

"You mean she died of terminal diarrhea?"

Now for more serious talk.

Whether or not she believes everything she says, that "woman" is a psycho. Her statements are nothing less than inflammatory and I'm surprised her choice words (the whole "Kill them all and convert them to Christianity" B.S. regarding Afghanistan comes to mind) haven't been used by America's enemies as propaganda piece.

Seriously, if you don't like Anne, then I suggest that next time Michael Moore makes another stupid comment that you look at it with the same pessimistic point of view that you have so elloquently chosen to attribute to Anne.

What an absolutely rude and ignorant thing to say.

You know, as I recall it was the LIBERALS in Florida that couldn't fill in a simple ballot. It is a few LIBERALS in King County Washington that couldn't fill in the damn bubble to have a legal vote.

And in both cases no conservative votes were in question.

Loved the way the poster felt the need to capitalize the word liberals. And I find the whole "absolutley rude and ignorant" thing just another example of a conservative failing to note the mote in the eye of one of their own. absolutely rude and arrogant has a lot to do with why so many dislike conservatives, especially Ann.

I cease to be amazed that such viscious diatribe spewing from the hole Coulter calls a mouth is tolerated by the general public. Where are the FCC fines against this form of hate and indecency? I never defended Anne Coulter. Just for the record I think she's way off the beaten path.

My point was this: THOSE PEOPLE ARE ALL PROPAGANDISTS!

If nobody can get that, then too bad.

His generalization was to all conservatives. Note that I did NOT make any assumptions about liberals as a whole; yes, I admit that I did point out that there are some ignorant liberals. However, there are just as many ignorant conservatives too.

As far as being scared, yes, I do scare myself, 'cause most of the time I turn out to be right! ;-)

I'm sorry I used capital letters. I should have bolded, italicized, and underlined it to emphasize the word liberal instead. ;-)

I already said I don't like Anne Coulter. I never defended her in the least.

My point was that Anne Coulter is the conservative counterpart to Michael Moore. Somebody had an issue with the way I presented it, and I was merely responding to it.

As far as the FCC... I think that is absolutely the most unAmerican thing I've seen today. We have something in this country called free-speech. Much like Michael Moore's "documentaries" (aka political propaganda) Anne has every right to say what she feels she needs to say. To suggest that you should prevent her from doing so goes against the American ideal of freedom.

The answer is simple: if you don't like what she says, don't buy her book and don't pay any attention to her (much like I have done with Michael Moore).

EDIT: By the way, might I need to mention that over 5 million more people voted conservative versus liberal in the presidential election?

The truth is that most people don't hate conservatives. Only bleeding heart liberals have a problem with the fact that the majority of the nation believes in "Merry Christmas", oppose unregulated abortion, and dislike gay marriage.

So hate us if you want, but sit back and watch the conservatives run the country. ;-)

She's worse than Moore. He distorts just as much as her, but I don't believe he's ever called conservatives as a whole "traitors," or made blanket statements about conservatives hating America, or advocated the invasion of foreign nations and wholesale slaughter of their rulers, then the forced conversion of the populace to any particular religion. Anne Coulter is Michael Moore with an added dose of hate. And without a penis (we think).

First of all, the Democrats lost. They were too cocky and made arrogant mistakes. Deal with it.

Second, the Republicans won't damage this country any more than the Democrats would have. Not saying they'll do a better job but I doubt they'll do worse.

Finally, both Moore and Coulter are absolutely brilliant. Anyone with half a brain that's read one of their books can appreciate that. Think about it, they've turned what amounts to chronic intellectual diherria into numerous best sellers. These people make fortunes spewing garbage of virtually no substance. And for that, I salute them.

Before anyone thinks this is a flame, it's not. I'm politically liberal (that's like centerist I think?) and English(British, UKish, whatever you want to call it.)

I've read one article about Ann Coulter in an Brit magazine and she sounded pretty nuts. I've read "Hey dude where's my country?" and he seemed to have a point, but don't take that the wrong way, he seemed a bit nuts too. Also seen Michael Moore on TV a few times and found him to be a bit of an idiot. I've not seen Fahrenheit 911 or Bowling for Columbine.

So.. now the main and serious question.... who would win in a FIGHT?

Red corner: Ann Coulter - slim-ish(?), quite masculine, probably owns a lot of guns?
Blue corner: Micheal Moore - fat, no guns, might be able to talk her to death?

PS - I'd probably prefer Moore to win, but that's from my political view and he doesn't seem *quite* as much as an extremist nutcase as Coulter.
PPS - THIS IS A JOKE - but I don't mind flames so much.
PPPS - I made some 'flames' on the 'Are our childrens being mades to learn stuff to early these days' thread and it didn't end too badly.
PPPPS - I reserve my right to use 'old skool' smilies like this ;-)
PPPPPS - the colors of the corners are purely a coincidence.
PPPPPPS - so is my spelling of colours, since I work for an American company it's no that difficult ;-)

Better make it clear, I didn't mean it's not that hard to work for an American company because it's American. I meant I don't have a problem switching between American and British spelling. Had to clarify that seeing there seems to be a 'little bit' of tension on this board at the moment. I've just spent far too long reading the 'Europe owes the US' thread BTW.

I'm a Green/Democrat, but I value input from the other side because without honest dialogue, there can be no advancements in civilization. That said, Ann Coulter is NOT sound input from the other side, she is a Republican shill who endlessly repeats the rightwing echo chamber meme of the day. Nothing she says is based on fact, and she takes the most microscopic grain of truth and stretches it out to the point of absurdity. I had better arguments in sixth grade.

After the 2004 campaign, I'm a little disappointed in John MCcain, but not so much so that I wouldn't gladly sit down and listen to what the man had to say. That is the difference between a person with a sound argument, and a nutcase banshee with a chip on her anorexic shoulder.

So wait--is he not centrist enough (dogs out the losing strategies of the DLC) or is he too centrist (endorsed by the NRA)? I'm a Dean supporter, and was part of a network of a number of them during the campaign here in San Francisco, and let me tell you--the liberal community out here (and a sizeable one it is) had no illusions about Dean's record as a governor. He was a fiscal conservative and a social libertarian who worked incrementally for change in the way things got done. He wasn't the liberal that the media--especially the conservative part of it--painted him as. What he is--and this is what the DLC can't stand--is outspoken. He has opinions. He's not mushy and afraid to offend people (as compared to the guy we wound up with as a candidate). And the party insiders beat him down as a result of it.

The same thing is happening right now in the run for the DNC chairmanship--the insiders are trying to come up with a viable ABD candidate. It may work--hell, it probably will--but if it does, there are a lot of people who gave money to the DNC this year who won't do it next year (me, particularly).

It's really terrible what the media to him- isn't that proof enough that there's no "liberal media"?

What, exactly, did she say that was an untruth? Just curious. After all, the number of African Americans voting Republican this last election increased by, what was it ... 12% ??

Yeah, probably from 10% to 11.2% Kerry, around the country got such a large majority of the minority vote it wasn't even close.

Which kind of is a kick in the face to Coulter's racist democrat idea. For racists, they seem to get a lot of the vote.

And trying to say that the KKK or NRA are closer to the left wing side of the political scale is a new one to me.

The proof that there's no such thing as the liberal media (at least to the extent that right-wingers like to claim there is) is overwhelming. The liberal media consists of The Nation, Mother Jones, the UTNE Reader, and a number of weblogs--that's about it. :)

The only difference is see between american 'liberals' and 'conservatives' aside from the extremist ones, is that 'conservatives' are simply more militant 'liberals' than the 'liberals' that you so despise.

You have absolutely no understanding of either the liberal or conservative ideologies in America. Please, if you are going to show a bias since we all have one, do so with some sort of sense.

Excerpt from an email I sent to Mrs. Coulter....
I think that Coulter is not ideologically opposed to female suffrage, it's just the Republicans would win more often if women couldn't vote.

Seriously, if you don't like Anne, then I suggest that next time Michael Moore makes another stupid comment that you look at it with the same pessimistic point of view that you have so elloquently chosen to attribute to Anne.
I agree that Moore is an ass, but still better than Coulter. Moore has never advocated killing any conservatives, let alone hoped for a systematic genocide of them.

And while i DETEST both of them, at least Moore can be FUNNY at times! And i like funny. Funny is good. Expecially when it's making fun of the KKK.

Heh heh heh, silly Klannies...
