"Liberals Must Die" ain't patriotic

In the NS forums and in quite a few chatrooms, I noticed this too much.

It seems that no few self-proclaimed Republican Conservatives hold a strong contempt or hatred for Democratic Liberals. And this goes beyond the usual party conflicts on ideology or how the government should be run.

I'm talking how these people constantly suggest America can do without an opposition party, namely the Democrats. The nicest these comments ever get tend to be constantly scrolled insults about how the Democrats are going to always lose, Bush Won Get Over It, and how the Democratic Party is going extinct.

The worst tend to be almost verbatim parrotings of the psychotic "all Liberals must be put to death" rantings of Ann Coulter.

While I wouldn't be surprised if there are Democratic Liberal rants on the opposite end suggesting the same outcome in their favor, I honestly haven't heard much if any.

So I have a question. How come these people who claim to be patriotic Americans keep spewing things that suggest they would rather support a (theocratic) Republican dictatorship where being a Democrat is a capital offense?

We need more than one view to make this country a representative democracy that the Founding Fathers created, which these "Get Rid Of The Democrats" rants go against.

I hear the same thing from the more vocal Democrats - that we don't need Republicans, or the red states. I even remember the gloating during the Clinton years, when they told me that Republicans should be jailed for criticizing Clinton.

The shoe is now on the other foot.

Because the Party in power always screws it up for their party down the line.

Reagon raised taxes
Bush Sr. Wouldn't take down Saddam.
Clinton had moral issues
Bush Jr. Tax cuts without tax increases (causing debt to go up), war of choice like Iraq, and more.

I call it the Starbuck Principle.

Either way, it's still unecessary.

Must...stop...self...from...generalization...rant.
I am seriously having trouble unloading on you for all the crap people post here, I HATE it when people say 'ALL REPUBLICANS ARE BUSH LOVERS AND TRY TO BURN PAGANS AND WE SHOULD EAT THEIR CHILDREN!', just because I dont think that abortion, assisted suicide and free handouts to everybody is a good idea.
You might be suprised, if you had ever talked to an average Republican, to find out that we are not Rush Limbaugh clones, any more than you are a Michael Moore clone. While I dont hate either one, I dont think either one represents my views at all, I find both of them rather funny actually.

Really? I would have guessed there would be. But if there isn't then maybe it's due to how things are going politically. The party that currently is on top makes such comments, while the other party acts moral, respectable, and all that to try to attract more people to their side so they can regain power?

Damn straight. It would be so sweet if all the power was split evenly down the line between conservatives and liberals. It would mean both parties would have to work together to get things done, instead of being arrogant and just doing whatever they want since that party has a majority.

All of the Republicans I'd met in real life are Rush clones (listen and agree with him on every issue). Until recently my Step father was one too.

Such comments might qualify as malicious trolling and/or flambaiting, depending upon the specific case. You may report them in "Moderation" for review by a Moderator.

The worst tend to be almost verbatim parrotings of the psychotic "all Liberals must be put to death" rantings of Ann Coulter.
Such comments definitely qualify as threatening statements possibly punishable by forumban-without-warning or deletion-without-warning. They should be reported in "Moderation" posthaste.

This is sarcasm, right?
If not, you obviously arent looking at your average Republican. Generaly alot of the people who run about screaming out that they are REAL Republicans are neocons or Rush clones. Same goes for Democrats and Moore etc.

Sadly *sniff sniff* nope!

Anyone who says he is one in real life has always been a Rush clone/republican. Granted this is Virginia so that may be expected in a red state, but its true.
