STDs make me horny

Why is it that all the STDs we hear about seem to discourage sexual activity? That doesn't seem advantageous for them from an evolutionary standpoint. Where's the STD that elongates the penis and increases stamina? And, more importantly, who wants to give it to me? (pun intended)

What do you know, inside this idiotically titled thread lurks an intelligent post. Honestly, I do not know.

Well... from my vague recollections, some STDs originally started out as skin diseases that travelled south when humans moved out of humid areas and then specialised... so originally they were spread by touch (like now), but had a larger base area (entire outer layer of skin).

But don't worry mate, there are pills that'll do those other things for you :p

O.K., that may be, but my argument applies to contagious infections in general.

And Heather Graham is on TV in a cheesy Sci-Fi movie. That might work, too.

I guess that making the host unattractive doesn't hinder their ability to spread, so they don't evolve.... or......... something.
