Do any NSers here have an account on www.gaiaonline.com? Just wonderin'. ^__^ You get to make ur own little anime person and earn money to buy clothes and accsessories. There's also a giant forum.

Alas, I was drawn in out of utter boredom during a recent NS lull...

Seems a bit childish . . . I was surfing the anime forums there and there's like 11 threads per series. The Moderators there would do some good by merging threads.

Ya, I did. I got tired of fishing for mere hundreds of gp in a place where everything costs upwards from 1000.

I also started a thread petitioning that male avatars can't wear women's clothing [and vice versa (to a lesser extent)]...

I was surprised, however, by their utter lack of moderation. Apparently before I found the site they had threads where people auctioned themselves (and maybe others?) as sex slaves. There also was a "rape thread" or something. Uncanny.

Well i can not test to see if it is as wierd as it seems as rather than let me pass stage two it gives a blank box with OK in the corner, also the terms and conditions are... missing O.o

Meh, I enjoy the site. There are moderation problems, but they're working on it as much as they can. As for the rape threads, that was apparently before I began on there, because I haven't seen any of that.

They're always a little glitchy, but it's like any other game or program in the Alpha stages. They add things, things mess up, they fix it, and they add more. That's just how it goes.

Yeah. My UN is In the name of misery. I'm a GD'er, and the place is just going to hell. This and Gaia are my two main forums, and they work well together. I go here to converse with more intelligent life forms, and when I'm tired of that and just want some brainless chatting, I go to Gaia.

This site is as tightly moderated as it is because Max Barry actively encourages schoolchildren to play the game, often under the direct supervision of teachers and parents. Most game sites may attract a similar audience, but for different reasons.

It's a wild world out on the Internet, and NS is a fairly safe haven.

*glances at "I'm drunk" thread*

Right... I don't think chat about encouraging use of marijuana, sex, and drinking is quite what would create a safe haven.

personally i didnt like it. it takes way too long to make the 'money' to buy what you want, and all the good stuff is like hundreds of thousands of gold. that and ive never been a big fan of anime...

What did you do, because if it involved virgin sacrafice and the severed head of a goat... then alls the better because i keep all the ingrediants for that sort of thing close at hand.
