What do you do when you see an endangered animal eating an endangered plant?

I assume they fall to the ground, crying like a baby.

Hope it eats some of the seeds and shits them out somewhere else, making the plant grow there too.

Wow. You're funny. It's almost as if your sense of humor makes up for your lack of conscience.

Oh c'mon! It was funny! Lighten up people, he wasn't talking about dead babies or AIDS, just a hypothetical, improbable situation.

Wow, you are wound way to tight! You need to have a therapy session with Algore or Howard Dean.

I'd eat the animal. Circle of life, right?

What do you do when you see an endangered animal eating an endangered plant?

i hope the plant is poisonous, 2 less endangered things...

i think environmentalists, the non-peta or eco-terrorist types, are less concerned with what the animals do themselves, but what we are responsable for doing to them. If an animal goes extinct naturally, its Darwinism, if its because of us, i guess its also natural darwinism... i dont know, i guess it worse?

Anyone up for Siberian Tiger steaks, with a side order of hot and spicy California Condor wings? :)

Sure, just throw them on the grill, I gots me plenty of room. I tell you what. I also use Blue Whale blubber to grease my grill. Adds so much flavor.

Endangered plants are so declared so people don't wipe them out by building over them.

An animal eating the plant is part of the process of existence.

Unfortunate but it happens.

There is a difference between an animal and "We need another Starbucks there!"

The answer is obvious:Tranquilize the endangered animal and move it away from the plant to a place where it can still thrive.

Last time I checked humans were animals. Drinking Starbucks coffee is paart of "the process of existance" for some of us. :D

Not that I'm much of an environmentalist, but I would hope that it is pretty obvious that humans have a much greater impact on the enivrionment than all other creatures (by environment, meaning natural ecosystems as a whole). In general, when certain members of a species overuse resources, they die, and their death leaves more resources for the rest- another consideration, humans don't have natural predators, like other species. Combined with technology, humans simply don't use renewable resources in a renewable way, and are responsible for making the planet endangered. If a species is endangered, its population is really small, so there isn't much of a dent it can cause on the world as a whole.

I'm taking environmental science now in high school- can you tell?

Try not to get brainwashed. Environmental Science, nice, way to go public schools.

Yes, he was joking about the future demise of biodiversity. Worse than either in the long run.

I can tell it's on the average high school level. I can also tell that it's far above that of most humans, as elementary as it is. :(

Better they learn that, which has an actual basis in science, than creationsim, which has its basis in, well, whatever creationists pulled out of their ass that day.

Considering that 2004 is shaping up to be the fourth warmest on record, and that the top ten warmest have happened within the last twelve years or so, I'd say there's something to the "global warming fiasco." But hey, I just happen to believe in empirical evidence as opposed to political hackery.

Yeah better they learn a bullshit science, that has not been proven, then learn about how some God sort of made everything, which hasn't been proven either. Nice, it's wack-o's like you who made me stop dumping CFC's into my local pond.

Well, well, well Johnny Wadd. What a nice load of flaming here, and in your post history too.
A three day forumban for you should teach you to respect other users.

[EDIT]
Oh, and a familiar IP I might add. Someone with your history should know better than to keep at the flaming.
