Well this girl thinks that she can do anything coz she is Jewish. And another persons mom wanted someone to come in Class to teach about Hannukah and soemone wanted someone to teach about Xmas and she was like "oh no you can't do that"

Hey fscktard, everyone ALREADY KNOWS WHAT THE FUCK CHRISTMAS IS ALL ABOUT. If she came in to teach about it, it wouldn't really be teaching what Christmas is about as it is just being there for the sake of saying

"Even though we're the majority, we'd feel opressed if we didn't teach you about our well known and never misunderstood holiday, which is unlike your holiday of Chanukah. Oh, and you jews suck. Christ pwnzors!"

There are plenty of misconceptions about Chanukah though, so a mom coming teaching that is feasible.

Why is it that sometimes people encounter one or two examples of a person from any particular group doing something they don't like, and then they go off and generalize about an entire segment of the population? I'm sure that given any particular race/religion/other segment of society, I could provide you with examples of members acting in this, or another offensive, manner, but that doesn't mean that it's representative of that race/religion/segment. People are people, and sometimes people do stupid things. No matter who/what they are.

Because you have said this, it proves how truly uninformed you are. There are a few people that are like that...but you are making broad generalizations about an entire population of people. That is called a stereotype. You may be surprised by who is Jewish who is not like that. Please change your attitude or keep it to yourself.

People who are Jewish are in the minority. To keep minorities from being discriminated against, we need to learn about the different cultures and such. So instead of posting a ridiculous thread (such as this), try learning more and getting of the computer.

I know about the Jewish religion and most of the concepts, but i think that it is outrageous that SOME remeber some decide to think that because they are Jewish that they can use that as an excuse to get away with things.

Well indeed, I have met a Jew or two who thinks that they can do anything because of what the Germans did to their people. But by far that is the minority of Jews from what I have witnessed. I have quite of few friends that are Jewish.

In that case, you shouldn't have used the word "Jew". The reason those people act like that is obvious: they're ars*holes - you're likely to meet a few of those during your life.

maybe you have so few jews in your community that all the jews you know are (co-incidentally) assholes

the thing is that we divide the world up into US and THEM. we KNOW that "us" are good people who do stupid things now and then. we know that some few of us are assholes.....

but when it comes to THEM, we judge the whole group based on our interaction with a few bad apples. this gives us a skewed view of "them"

I have four things to say:
1. How old are you? In one of your other posts, you claimed to be 12. If you are twelve, I feel like someone should warn you that you are of an age where you are now responsible for your own actions. I don't mean legally responsible, although that is certainly an possibility, but morally responsible. You should think more carefully about the choices you make. Going back through some of the other posts you have made, I see two trends you should really work on: a disturbing preoccupation with sex, and a tendency to generalize.
2. You are stereotyping in both statements. If you disagree, look the word up in a dictionary.
3. Learn to spell.
4. Putting the ethnic or religious background of the person you are having a problem with aside, if someone says something rude to you, the best response is to ignore that person or to be polite back. By being sarcastic, angry, or rude back, you are merely continuing a cycle of negativity. Also, you make yourself look ignorant, unintelligent, and (in a work or school setting) unprofessional. If someone is trying to "run all over you," be polite, see if there is a compromise, and if there isn't, be firm about your position. And is someone actually had the audacity to say something like "I can be rude because I'm Jewish (or black, white, blonde, bald, fat, tall, bowlegged, whatever)" tell them that while some people may find that acceptable, you ask for the same respect from everyone no matter what religion, color, height, weight, socioeconomic status, etc. they are. Then be sure that you are applying that rule to yourself.

If he's only 12 he's probably still small enough for me to beat him up.

Sorry, your right, I was fuming because one of my Jewish friends had really upset me. That was very immature and I apoligize to anyone if they were offended by my rude post. I am sorry and I will try to never do that again. thank you for the advice. I will understand if some people do not forgive me for what I have said. I wasn't thinking clearly and now have thoughten about what i had said.

I dont think that you all should be making a big deal about stereotyping. They wouldnt exist if there weren't people like that to begin with. Besides, if a person fits into the prdefined sterotype, then they are a sterotypical "____", otherwise they are just a "_____" who is not in that sterotype. It is just as bad as sterotyping everyone as it is when you say that the "stereotypical stereotyper" is a horible person. Maybe it would be better if people would just get over things instead of complaining. (By the way, I am Jewish (1/2) and i know some jewish people who are like what you said.)
