No, becuase then you would have to believe in God or be a satanist. Stana is a part of Christiainity, just like God and Jesus (heresy!).

Also believing in Satan may entail being forcing into bleieving in God through fear.

I didn't create this thread through ignorance...I know that believing in Satan and being an atheist are mutually exclusive. That's why I made this post - I've heard far too many supposed atheists say they love Satan etc...

And there's already 2 dumbass SOBs who have said yes...hehe.
Hopefully this thread will enlighten them and make them realise how stupid they are, and that their so-called atheism actually supports the existance of a God.

no, I created it to educate them. And I hope it has.

Maybe it has something to do with Satan getting thrown out of heaven for questioning God's infallability, and atheists similarly questioning the infallibility of Christianity and the Bible, which kind of makes Satan a fictional figurehead for some atheists. Saying that I've never met a Satanist who doesn't also believe in God...

Some atheist once held the mythological figure of Satan is esteem because he symbolized rebellion against unjust authority, Lord Byron and the Hellfire Club (US Founding Father Benjamin Franklin was a member) are examples of this.

It makes them a bit silly....not believing in Satan as a Christian is to go against what the Bible says...and a major part of Jesus' life

I think a lot of people who identify themselves as christians have never set foot in a church or read a single biblical passage. They just believe what they hear from other "christians" who have never set foot in a church or read a single biblical passage. I'd be willing to bet the same can be said of most religions.

I think the reasoning was that Satan is just a symbol of evil not an actual entity. One of those take this passage as literal or symbolic debates.

I read another arguement on another thread that said that Satan was not refered to as evil in the Bible but was more of a mischief maker who challenged God to test the faithful.

Maybe what Bootlickers said was true.
