Even more funny because those paratroops were in Italy at the time. But I guess when you are old you can say what you want.

Yes, well, if you noticed the article talked about GERMAN PARATROOPS. Not allies. Just because i usually choose to act like a dick, doesn't mean I don't know stuff. The last German Paratroops were destroyed in Italy in 44.

So how is being an idiot working out for you?

Alright, I keep it simple for you.

There were two big battles involving the German professional paratroops. One happened on crete in 41, which churchill described as blunting the german airborne spear. The other big battle was at cassino in italy in 44.

Just because the germans started dropping ill prepared troops from planes and describing them as paratroops does not make it so.

Really, listen to me on this one, the last true german paratroops were killed at cassino in italy.

Edit: I am of course glossing over the belgian campaign becuase the allies were not really involved.

It would be kinda dumb to allow the Wehrmacht to decide which units are Fallschirmjäger and which aren't, you should definitely be the judge in all cases. And really, what could possibly have driven people to call parajumping troopers paratroops?

Try harder man. :)

You know, whatever.

You didn't actually just get placed in the job. The real fallschirmjager were an elite band of voluteers. In fact the western allies (US and UK) described them as the best soldiers in the history of warfare.

But if you think that just being pushed out of a plane or landing in a glider makes you the same, well all and good. We'll agree to disagree,

There were not p=jumpers at the bulge though .

You didn't actually just get placed in the job. The real fallschirmjager were an elite band of voluteers.See, there's the thing. You're picking one definition of the Fallschirmjäger and deciding that's the "real" one. Personally, I'd allow the Wehrmacht to keep the right to choose which units it calls Fallschirmjäger. And the point is quite moot when FJ (apart from some Special Operations units) is the only kind of paratroop unit the Wehrmacht had, and those men were quite obviously paratroopers = troopers who parachute.

There were not p=jumpers at the bulge though .Try reading this article (http://www.eagle19.freeserve.co.uk/ardennes.htm) that I already linked earlier.
