Who is it?
For me it is as follows:
Dogbert
Brian
Snoopy

I love Dogbert for pointing out Dilbert's ignorance, his many jobs, his sadistic side, and the fact that he wants to rule the world.

Brian, need I say more. He is always making fun of Peter's ignorance and makes Stewie even funnier. Plus he's a drunk.

Snoopy, he's Snoopy, the first cartoon dog you ever see. Too bad Charlie Schultz died. Plus he sleeps on top of his doghouse.

Actually, beagles really do that. They do indeed sleep on top of a dog house if you give them one. It's really odd.

I didn't know that. I have a miniature schnauzer and she hates being outside period.

I got my beagle a dogloo. She sleeps inside of it. She also chewed her way out of her carrier on one occasion. (It was really quite amusing, we put her back into it just so we could watch her slither out of this tiny hole she chewed in the side).

I however, voted for Brian. Because, well. He's Brian.

Dogbert all the way. He's just so cute. Especially when he wears hats and makes fun of clergy.

The problem with characters like Brian and Dogbert is that although they are technically "dogs", their character is decidedly human. As dogs, they are nothing compared to the likes of Snoopy. He may do things that are out of the dog's scope, but there's no way you could mistake him for a human in a scriptreading. Who names a dog "Brian", anyway?

Well, Huckleberry Hound should be mentioned, he's soooo gay.

I voted for Scooby but I also thought
of Snoopy, I am a dog lover,
I grew up with dogs.

My Dad (old-man) he loves dogs,
he has blood for dogs,
an old spanish saying it means
he loves them, they take to him.

I have never seen a dog not like him,
not trust him, they can tell If you like them
or not and are so loyal.

When I was young we got this older
german sheppard that was being mistreated
by its former owner, so the dog was mean
and almost no one could go near him except
this young kid of the family, we could not
go near him for a while except my dad
the dog just trusted him from the beggining.

I also thought of Fred Flintstones
Dino, but he is not actually a dog.

I can't believe no one has mentioned the dog from Belleville Rendez-vous. That could be the coolest cartoon dog ever - with its big round podgy body and its little thin stumpy excuses for legs. Awwww, a smile comes to my face just thinking about it. : )

I voted for brian...

Although my favourite cartoon dog is Sam, of Sam & Max fame. He's been in comics, on tv, and in a computer game.

It would've been 2 games if lucas arts hadn't cancelled it at the last minute.
I hate starwars.

I love Brian too, especially when he hit gets drunk or is sarcastic with Peter, but Dogbert is better. I mean he started a freaking airline to defraud customers. He doesn't even own aircraft. He just sells tickets and makes excuses and gives away 5 dogbert bonus miles to be used on the 37th of each month if your flight is canceled

In fact, shouldnt a fox be considered a 'dog' of sorts too? If so, Ill include Tod along side Copper, because as a pair they can't be beaten, and truly they do belong together. I mean, they'll always be best friends... forever.

yeah... forever... :)
