Ignorant Republicans

Speaking as a moderate(politicalcompass.com rated me at about -1,-1), why is it that liberals, as a whole, view republicans as either ignorant or idiotic? From where I stand I see rampant disinformation used on both sides. The liberals have just as many sources of disinformation as the conservatives. Why is it that groups and people such as Michael Moore, Ted Rall, and democracynow.com are bashed nowhere near to the extent as Rush Limburgh, Ann Coulter, and Fox?
This has been bothering me for awhile, and honestly, watching both Fox and CNN, I don't see a whole lot of difference in how they portray the news, and even if they truely are slanted in different directions, it seems to me that they don't sway too far from each other.

They all work for the same purpose... or perhaps the same individual?

Yeah. I definetely don't get it. Fox isn't that biased, and neither is CNN. I get bashed all the time for being republican. It goes both ways, though. Democrats view republicans as ignorant, Republicans view democrats as cowards.
I, however, don't view them as cowards, I just view them as wrong ;)

It's the whole two party system that is the cause. If there were around six, parties wouldn't have to kiss everyones' asses and could instead support legislation for their interest group. Having an Evangelical Party, Workers Party, Rich White People With Too Many Cars Party, a Red Neck Party, etc., would rule. But having people elected based on issues and not on party affiliation would be the best ever.

Well... assuming you mean on this forum, it's because this forum is mostly left-wing. If we go by the political compass thing, I'd say average on this forum is around -4/-4... Therefore the right-wing idiots get bashed more than the left-wing idiots.
Personally I'm right wing, and I do have serious issues with people like Michael Moore, but I don't support o'reilly and such either, as he's a hypocrite. Same with Rush. I might agree with what they are saying (for the most part), but that doesn't mean I like the person, or identify with them.
Now if you meant in real life... well... most of the people where I live have never heard of Rush or O'reilly or democracynow... although they all know who Michael Moore is (and seem to think F9/11 is a good source of credible information). *Points at location* Canadia!
Oh yeah and about the media, very true, CNN and Fox are basically the same on any major reports and such. The only way to really notice the slants are the types of stories they have about little things and how they portray them. In general there's not much difference though.
Now if you compare to CBC... you notice a HUGE difference... I get CBCNEWS alot more up here in Canada than fox or cnn...
