A Political Research Poll(Americans)

Ok, I have to do research for a Sociology class. I decided to do a survey. My survey involves politics in America, specifically the presidential election for 2008. Non-Americans can feel free to answer if they want, I just put "(Americans)" at the top because that way no one complains about how it only includes American political parties. :)

So the question is two-pronged...

Who would you vote for in 2008?

A-Barack Obama
B-Arnold Schwarzenegger

Secondly, are you a Democrat, a Republican, or an Independent?

I would vote for neither. I don't know much about Obama, and I definitely don't like the Manchurian Candidate.

I don't belong to any political party.

McCain. I am more familiar with him and beleive he's a good man. If Obama distinguishes himself in the coming four years my choice may change. I am an independant, but registered republican. I just haven't bothered to go to city hall to change my party affiliation.

Independent.

Unsure. At the moment, I would lean towards McCain, but only because I know more about his political stances. I've heard many good things about Obama, but haven't researched him much yet.

How about an "undecided"?

Also, why does the question say McCain but the poll says Ahnold?

oops...i originally had 4 options i wanted to do

ahnuld, hillary, obama, and mccain, but i had to do the political party question too, so that way i knew more about the people voting, but that would require 12 options, so i had to trim it down, i trimmed it to obama and ahnuld, but screwed up on the actual post... :headbang:

Hillary's a joke, Obama isn't as great as people say he is, Arnold's a social liberal even though he's good on economics, and McCain started those stupid campaign finance laws.

Tom Tancredo from Colorado (R) in 2008!

You could just post a questionnaire and everyone could post their answers.

Obama intrigues me.... I think he needs more experience though. McCain and Obama are both moderates which I think we need...

McCain / Obama Independent run, 2008? I'd vote for it!

Constitutional amendments do not get passed quickly. Especially when they are fairly low on the agenda. As it is, there is a very small chance that Schwarzenegger will be able to run.

Condoleezza Rice, as a Republican.

keep in mind this is purely hypothetical, its unlikely that either of these two would be running in 2008, but you never know

also, congress has a requirement that ammendments be ratified within 2 years of their passing the senate, so if it were passed within the next year or two its possible

You, sir, are extremely screwed up. Tancredo is so idiotic that not even Bush would support him. He's insane; all he cares about is immigration. If he were President we'd never have any immigrents anymore. And this country was built on immigrants.
From the options, though, I chose Obama, and I'm a Democrat. From Bailey Colorado, I might add.

I'm a Republican, and I like Schwartzenneger.

He is a TRUE neocon. Hawkish in his foreign policy, conservitive in his fiscal policy, and moderate (not to say liberal) in his domestic policy.

I will probably (hope hope) end up voting for the American Schwartzeneger, Rudy Guliani. Rudy-Rice, 2008!

I had been under the impression that only American born citizens could be president of America, which puts Arnold Schwarzenegger out of the running (not that I would vote for him even if he was). I don't know much about Obama, but my liberal friends seem to be in love with him. I said I was an Independent, but that's only because I'm Libertarian and that wasn't one of the choices (and Independent seemed the best fit).

By "Arnold - R" I meant to say "McCain - R," the man whom I hope to vote for.

Isn't is a contradiction to be a neoconservative and a fiscal conservative? Being a neocon necessitates spending vast amounts of money on foreign policy, expanding government and corporate welfare.
