"In a blow to the government's anti-terror measures, the House of Lords law lords ruled by an eight to one majority in favour of appeals by nine detainees."

Law Lord Nicholls stated "Indefinite imprisonment without charge or trial is anathema in any country which observes the rule of law." The government has to act now, or does it?

But they're just my thoughts.

I'm all riled up and ready to justify totally re-building the house of Lords then they go and do something sensible like this...

I very much doubt it, even if ol' Blunkett was so adamant that incarciration without trial was necessary. Saying that, it probably didn't help the man.
