Round 2 of Fall of Nations (http://www.fallofnations.com/play.asp?uid=No referral systems) started this morning.
The game is a free online turn based game in which you take the role of a general. You build up your armies and attack other players to destroy their armies and steal their gold.
The game allows you to form guilds of upto 25 players, so if a number of NS players want to form a guild based on their region it might be possible to fight NS regional battles in Fall of Nations (as long as everyone agreed to this).
Round 2 has a prize for the top scoring player, the leader of the top scoring guild and members of the top scoring guild.
I hope this hasn't been linked before, I couldn't find anything in the searches.

Well, I've played for a while and it seems that although it's a simple game, there's a lot to learn:
You need to buy buildings to house your troops.
Buying specialist buildings allow you to buy specialist troops.
I tend to buy a mix of troop types to balance attack/defence and intelligence across air and ground troops.
Attacking players below you loses you karma (depending on how far below you they are).
Attacking players above you raises karma.
Karma seems to effect the number of troops killed when you attack and the amount of gold you get, but I could be wrong.
Sometimes you'll find a player that hardly kills any of your troops when you attack them. It's a good thing to note down this player's name and attack them whenver they have lots of cash.

Could you post some screenshots of the game? I've checked out the manual and game info, but I still don't know whether to join or not. Is it like Imperial Conflict?
I really like turn-based online games, but still haven't found the perfect one. It's my dream to start up my own civilization-like turn-based game, but you know how it goes with dreams.. ;)

Well, there's not much to look at. It's not a graphical game. I'll try and get some screenshots up when I get home.
