Something I've always sort of wondered about...

Why is everyone else up this late? This is mostly directed to my fellow Americans/Canadians/whatever, who live where it's currently very, very early on a wednesday morning. I know a lot of the people posting right now are in the U.S., but you'd think on a weeknight most people would be asleep by midnight or so. Me, I'm just an insomniac, and I took a nap this afternoon, so I plan to do my homework (Haha! Yeah, right...) and get to bed again around 4 (I'm central time zone, btw, so its 3:25 right now).

Because I am "doing homework". Darn education major.

I'm also an insomniac. I won't even go to bed tonight.

My trouble almost seems to be subconscious aversion to sleep, as it is impossible for me to just lay down and sleep. I almost always have to fall asleep on accident or be so tired that I can't keep my eyes open. I hate it, but there hasn't been much I can do about it.

I can assure you that it does exist.

i dont know about anyone else, but i find that insomnia is very useful. I mean, i get an extra 8 hours in my day than everyone else! gives me enough time to do both college work and play NS, and relpy to questions like this. i'm in britain btw, so its about 9:50 wednesday morning now :)

I don't regulate my sleep schedule. There would be no point. I don't actually do anything. So, I usually find myself going to bed a little bit later each time. Right now, I go to sleep around 10AM.

I guess I haven't. But let's just say that I have reasons, scientific and otherwise to question our existence.

I keep what may be "odd hours" for three reasons:
1) I live in Osaka, Japan.
2) I'm a night owl.
3) I work odd hours - usually 3 pm to 9:30 pm.

I'm not convinced my insanity exists either.

Though, I have not ruled out the possibility that it might be the ONLY thing that exists.

The ultimate goal of any life should really be to, more often than not, sleep 'til you wake up.

Well, I've always been a "night owl"...

My old sleep pattern was already to stay up until about 4 AM (U.S. Eastern time)... But I've moved to a different shift at work, and that has changed...

I work 12 hour shifts, 6PM to 6AM in alternating 3 and 4-day work weeks...

So, I now have to stay up past 6 AM everyday (even on my days off... I can't just switch back to "normal" every weekend...lol)

But it's gotten to the point of staying up until 9 or 10 (sometimes 11)... It's difficult to come home from work and go right to sleep...lol

So anyways, my reason is a combination of my internal clock preferring to be up at night, and my job requiring it...

VO saved me the time it would've taken to type the same thing.
And, I guess it's easy since I work for myself. I keep this tab open while I'm working, and post on "breaks". This board is killing my productivity!
