Australia terror suspect offered prostitute - court

CANBERRA, Dec 10 (Reuters) - An Australian terror suspect was offered the services of a prostitute by the U.S. military if he agreed to spy on other detainees held at the Guantanamo Bay base in Cuba, according to court documents. In an affidavit unsealed by a U.S. District Court and seen by Reuters on Friday, David Hicks, a 29-year-old convert to Islam, said he was also beaten while blindfolded and handcuffed, threatened with weapons and had his head rammed into asphalt.

"Interrogators once offered me the services of a prostitute for 15 minutes if I would spy on other detainees. I refused,"

"I have been beaten while blindfolded and handcuffed ... At one point, a group of detainees, including myself, were subjected to being randomly hit over an eight-hour session while handcuffed and blindfolded," Hicks said.


Sex and violence? Well, this seems new.

they are comfortable beating bound prisoners and using torture to get the information they want...why should we be surprised that they are also comfortable selling women's bodies for their purposes?

Well, if they're intent on breaking laws and feeling comfortable with it, can I steal, cheat, lie, murder, smoke, drink, and speed and get away with it? I think I should be able to do that.

No, it is all true by Allah. The interrogator was a red-skinned servant of evil, with horns and a pitchfork. All the infidel Americans look thusly without their makeup.

Well a healthy bit of skepticism is always good. It's just that sometimes we just block out things we really just don't want to be true...

Have they tried hitting the prostitute yet? If computer games have taught me anything its; when you're stuck you need to try every possible combination to advance. And it doesn't matter if you hurt the prostitute - cause they're allready dead on the inside...

Anyway these people where not arrested just because they are muslims or there would be a hell of a lot more in there. They probably have connections or know some of the more radicals of the muslim faith. I suppose they are supposed to be asked politely ' excuse me sir would you mind telling us what so n so is planning to blow up next,we would be ever so grateful. Get real. Sounds like standard interriogation proceedure.

Oddly enough, the song "Sex and Violence" by The Exploited just got done playing on my mp3 player. Weird.

I also am skeptical of whether this happened or not. Maybe if there was more info released with the story. Right now it seems slightly questionable.

This however, is just plain wrong.

Actually while there are many reports of torture they don't actually tend to mesh with one another. So unless the torturers are extremely creative and have special torture regimens for individual people then reports like this will continue to remain suspect.
