Fighter. Magic is powerful, true, but in a one-on-one solo battle Fighter always takes it over Wizard. Against groups? Black Mage.

Fighter because in the comic he can't die. Granted he is too naive to kill non-monsters usually. But he will defend himself except against blackmage...
But in the D&D Univarse (Which is how Fighter pronounces it), Fighters are able to beat wizards closeup. Blackbelt might beat Fighter... matters who attacks who first.
