Why would any true person care about persecution.

The dictionary lists persecution as such, The act or practice of persecuting on the basis of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or beliefs that differ from those of the persecutor. Anotherwards one self-righteous person persecuting another. Who flippin gives a rats ass about someone persecuting them? Why give the persecutor the time of day? Unless its God or Jesus doing it, it don't mean shit to me & it shouldn't mean shit to you either.

Most people have a sense of justice. They see someone being mistreated and understand that it could have been them. Then again, some people are just fucking sociopaths and dont' care.

"In Germany, they first came for the communists and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a communist. Then they came for the Jews and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the Catholics. I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak up."

nobody really cares if it is just one person to another, all of us have probably been "persecuted". Have you ever been called a mean name?

its when persecution is violent, or legeslative, or both that it becomes an issue. Like genocide

That depends entirely on whether on not that persecution infringes on my capacity to persue life, liberty and happiness according to the dictates of my conscience.

Hmmm where were all the people wanting action to stop genocide in Rwanda? One million people in 100 days.....

Most people respond with "Oh my god that is horrible" and then go back to eating dinner.

Most people didn't know how to help. It's up to the leaders of nations to get problems like that solved. Unfortunately you have to be a bit of a sociopath to get into power. You have to be able to lie, cheat, and double cross anyone without remorse.

No man is an island, entire of itself
every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main
if a clod be washed away by the sea,
Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were,
as well as if a manor of thy friends or of thine own were
any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind
and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls
it tolls for thee.

Sad but true. I'm part of my schools Social Justice team, so I'm doing something. Like the whole corperate water thing that's going on in some 3rd world countries. (Big multinational corperations sell the water to poor people at prices 5-10 times what they make. As a result, they are forced to give up food, shelter and such for water, or drink dirty stuff. Some even force payment for rain water! Rain water!!!)
