ATTN: Bushies

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public."
-- Theodore Roosevelt

First: Stop bush bashing! It's disrespectful!

We don't bash, we criticize and rightly. If Gore or Kerry were in office I doubt very seriously that you would "respect the president." The statement that we should stop attacking a person you support because it makes you uncomfortable is rediculous. How else are we suppossed to show you you're wrong unless we TELL you all the reasons he's a horrible leader.

Second: "We're in a war so we should stand behind our leaders..." Right. Because that really worked for nazi germany and hitler.

"lets blindly follow the leader." as Teddy Roosevelt ( a republican I might add ) once said, is morally treasonable. Stop committing treason, and allow us to criticize, just like we will allow you to criticize when we're in power. This nation's greatness was built on our first ammendment rights to free speech and free assembly. Dissent is NOT treason. The treason here is the tyrranical attempt to eliminate dissent.

This is why the bush administration is wrong: The constitution exists to allow majority rule while PROTECTING THE RIGHTS OF THE MINORITY. Any attempt to undermine such rights, I.e. the rights of homosexuals, is treasonous. The religious extremists within this nation that wish to conform it to their view of morality are behaving in a treasonous manner, and frankly must be stopped. Making an ammendment to the constitution to "defend marriage" or stop flag burning limits the rights of the minority, which would have our founding fathers rolling over in their graves.

Don't tell us not to bush bash. It's not just our right, it's our moral duty. Sic Semper Tyrannis anyone?

Who said that you can't criticize the President. Who exactly? Or are you just making things up.

Donald Rumsfeld for one. George Bush for another. They've both said you shouldn't criticize the president in wartime.

What was meant was that the morons saying they could have run the war better need to shut up. And there is a biiig difference between Bush criticizing and Bush bashing. Bush criticizing: Bush's combination of conservative tax cuts and liberal spending is fucking stupid. Bush bashing: Bushitler. Can you see the difference?

Don't mention the Nazis, mate. There's always some idiot who actually thinks that you are saying Bush is like Hitler, whatever point you're trying to make by using the analogy.

I always enjoy the way that brits throw "mate" into the conversation. Somehow impling that they are your best friend, and yet mentally retarded at the same time. Clearly the ability to use the word "mate" makes them so intellecutally superior to anyone else on the planet. Patronizing fucks.

<-- ex-Bush supporter

I used to like him, but then I went to one of his speeches. They make you say an oath of allegiance to Bush in order to get in. Also, you cannot criticize him on anything, or you're kicked out from all future events. People who criticized him were also arrested . . . after seeing this, I would never support him again.

You have to take the argument one step further.

It's not only a good thing when us citizens criticise their president, but also when foreigners do that. Listen to what we're saying. We're not just making fun of Bush, we try to prevent mistakes.

I don't think I've ever actually heard the word Sweetie used in conversation, unless it was to a small child.

He isnt that far away, really. All he really has left to do is kill some jews and he'll be right up there. Suppressing civil liberties, forming his own security agencies to supress basic rights. And one of his famous quotes, "This would be a lot easier if it were a dictatorship, just so long as I'm teh dictator." just goes on to prove he's close.
