Violent and nonviolent societies

I'm an American, and I will admit we have a violent and somewhat warlike society. Europe is less violent. I think it's because there are still plenty of Europeans alive who remember what WWII did to their continent. Meanwhile an enemy army has not invaded American territory in a very long time.

In America, graphic violence seems to be ok, but as soon as someones boob flops out for half a second, everyone cracks the shits bigtime and it becomes newsworthy for the next several months.
In Europe, espeically germany, violence on TV and in video games is censored a lot more (I think there are laws against the use of red blood in video games in germany) but if someone fliped their tits out no one cares..

Perhaps a compromise could be reached whereby the main form of violence on tv is people being beaten to death by tits?

You are quite correct - the societies on the two continents differ immensely in terms of attitudes towards sex and violence. This is also true of drugs and sense of social responsibility too. It is a cultural thing. There is no easy way to effect change.

Well, see the problem there is that Europeean nations haven't got the navies to get the troops here or the armies the job done.

Actually if I remember correctly a german exchange student at my school a few years ago was telling me the Oliver Khans (german soccer/football/whatever goalie) testicle fell out of his shorts, and they had a lovely shot of it on the front page of one of the newspapers. There would be riots if that happened in the US.

Aren't the Mexicans already on top of that?
The US has a very negative attitude toward sex, indeed.

 Oh boy. Here we go again. Still upset about censoring in anime? :p ;)

It's because they're based (kinda, the society is) on Christianity.
