At least with 12 months a year they couldn’t possibly keep up the buying frenzy and “cutesy” stuff that comes with X-MASS

Stealth holiday via Daylight Saving Time/British Summer Time/etc: put the clocks back on a weekend, between saturday and sunday -- thus lengthening the weekend by an hour. But put the clocks forward during the week -- say, wednesday night -- thus shortening the working week by one hour! Over a lifetime you could gain over 3 whole extra days'-worth of weekend and endure 3+ days less of weektime.

But shouldnt it be the opposite since you were given the gift of life that day? Heck I might start giving presents on my birthday now that I think about it. :)

Funksgiving. Everyone chows down with there best friends, snackin on Jive Turkey and taking readings from the Gospel according to Parliament. In the evening, a traditional-style roller-boogie will take place, followed by a psychedelic light show, and capping off with a large procession into a space ship.

18th May, Lightning Diety Day.

Everybody dresses up as either Zeus or Thor and throws carboard lighting bolts at each other. Anyone killed by actual lightning on this day gets added to the Lightning Day Roll of Honour.

I want a Ramones Appreciation Day.

If we have a day for Groundhogs, then why not a day for a three-chord band?
