Clinton Library Opening

Ok, I know it opened a while ago but still, I had to say this: (and yes, it was taken from a conservative talk show host, heh)

During the ceremony to honor Bill Clinton, there were hundreds of liberals there to honor Clinton. However, we all know most of them went there to show their support for the man and to be seen by the cameras. Try to think at how pissed they had to be from this perspective...

1)They were in a red state.
1a) Not only a red state, but the Bible Belt!
2)It was pouring down raining so no one was seen under their umbrellas.
3)They're honoring a man who basically brought down their party (losing seats
in Congress and the DNC funds dropping sharply during his term)
4)The hotels they had to stay in weren't 4 star hotels (Poor Barbara
Streisanat a Comfort Inn!)
5)They were looking at a library that resembled a giant mobile-home
6)The best speech they heard was from George W. Bush

Can you imagine how bad that had to be for them? They had to sit in the pouring rain, in a red state, staring at a giant mobile-home for FOUR HOURS! And to have to listen to George W. Bush after the election? Wow!

I know this is satire, but it's funny that no matter how much time passes, the propaganda by which we marginalize "the other" remain the same.

1) They hate our land!
4) Their people occupy our slums/best seats of wealth and power!

Now, add to that the usual:

They're infiltrating our schools!
They control the media!
They're destroying this country by giving it over to other countries!
They're filthy/immoral/etc!

Anybody else realize how much the concept of "The Liberal Menace" the conservative talking heads are pushing sounds a lot like "The Jewish Menace?"

Anyhoo, the funnier thing was listening to those same talking heads referring to it as "That silly library of Clinton's" with such disdain and dismissal, as if he were the first President to have a damn presidential library.

George Bush could have as many libraries named after him as he likes, that would never convince me that he has read a book, or that he even can read.

Well, a GW Bush library would have the 10 commandments (smashed) and a Bible guarded by the CIA, FBI, etc :p

If former Presidents want Presidential Libraries, they should raise their own money for it and use none of the taxpayer's money. No, I'm not singling out Clinton, same goes for Reagan's and the rest.

I dont care about the "liberal media." There's conservative media too, it's just that I don't like when they try to act like its objective unbiased news. Look at poor old Dan Rather at CBS with the National Guard story. That story has been done 4 times and there's nothing to it, yet they decided to do it again (and with forged documents!). And let's not forget the NY Times with the old "missing" explosives story they bring up the week before the election. Have conservatives tried stuff like this? Probably, but those were the last two big biased stories.

Ah, and seeing the reaction from the left about "stupid red states" and everything the vented in the op-eds across America shows they hate us for electing Bush. Thanks for the feedback though.

The George W. Bush Library will, if I'm not mistaken, be stocked with colouring books and TV guides.

What I want to know, is since this is the Clinton library, will there be a 'Champange Room' where 'happy endings' are common place?

OK, one more Luinskey (sp?) joke:

How many people will ask, "So, did she do it on one knee or did she get down on both knees?"
