No, but there is no proof that we did. Yes, there is speculation, but nothing more than that. However, this Dutch guy certainly did supply Saddam with quite a large supply. Anyone can purchase these chemicals as they are used in industrial processes, just not in the quantities he supplied to Saddam. That the chemicals he supplied were used to kill Saddams own people is not in doubt either.

We sold shitloads of weapons to Saddam. It's not speculation - it's proven and well-known. We financed his coup and his war with Iran. I don't know whether we sold him chemical weapons, though.

Thats the thing....there is no proof that we did sell him chemical weapons. Yet I always read on here that we did this and that....yet it would appear that we did not.
Also, we did NOT finance his "Coup." He took power from his cousin who retired. You should read his biography sometime.

Well, I seriously doubt we supplied him with chemical weapons....conventional weapons by the ton yes, and even satelite intelligence. Chemical weapons? In the 1970's the US began destroying the chemical stockpiles we had.

I don't really see how it matters, as simply supplying him with the weapons wasn't the worst part, increasing support for him after he used them on his own people was.
