Favourite Blackadder character

This will be done without a poll. Seeing as Blackadder was voted favourite sitcom on the best British comedy a while back, I wondered who people's favourite characters are from Blackadder from series 2, 3 and 4?
Me personally, I thought Edmund is brilliant, as is Lieutenant/Prince George and Percy. So who do you think? Include your favourite quote if you want.

I'm in the States so I've only been able to catch a few episodes here and there. However from what I've seen, I like Edmund as well.

Blackadder is the best thing ever to hit Television and Rowan Atkinson will never make a part his own as much as he did here. But, no character beats General Sir Anthony Cecil Hogmanay Melchett as played by Stephen Fry. He made the 'Darling' gag, twice as funny as it otherwise would have been just by the way he said it.

Melchett is brilliant, I think that all the actors in it were cast perfectly. Miranda Richardson as queenie, Tim McInnery for Darling, all of them.

Yep you're right. Not just the main characters but the guest characters played by the likes of Bill Wallis ("Mr Ploppy", Series 2 Episode 2 'Head' and "Mr Smith", Series 4 Episode 5, 'General Hospital'), Jeremy Hardy ("Perkins" Series 4, Episode 2, 'Corporal Punishment'), Tom Baker ("Captain Redbeard Rum", Series 2 Episode 3, 'Potato') and of course the excellent Rick Mayall as "Lord Flashheart" (Series 2 Episode 1, 'Bells' and Series 4 Episode 4, 'Private Plane'. I don't think any show has got the casting so perfect!

By the way what's your favourite Episode? Mine's 'Corporal punishment' as mentioned above.

Oh, can it be true? That I hold here, in my mortal hands, a nugget of purest green?

"Of course you know what this means Percy don't you"

"No sir?"

"That you, Percy, Lord Percy, are a complete Berk!"

My favourite character in all of the series would have to be the squirrel hating highman/girl played by Miranda Richardson...

Off the top of my head I think I liked Blackadder himself the best. Rowan is brilliant there (God I hate Bean). The other characters bug me in their stupidity (Yes I know thats the point of them).

Blackadder II:

Bells

Bob's father: Oh Please go on the game! It's a steady job. And you'll be working from home!

Lord Flasheart: Nursie. I like it firm and fruity! Am I pleased to see you or did I just put a canoe in my pocket!? Down boy down!

Chains

Prince Ludwig: You do not remember me then Herr Blackadder.
Blackadder: I don't believe I've had the pleasure.
Ludwig: Then let me refresh your memory. Do you remember when you went to Dover that you used to meet a notorious black marketer in the King's Head tavern?
Blackadder: Oh my you're not...
Ludwig: Yes, I was the waitress!
Blackadder: I don't believe it 'Big Sally'!
Ludwig: (in higher voice) Would you like another piece of pie my lord?
Blackadder: But I went to bed with you didn't I?
Ludwig: Yes indeed Mr Floppy. You see, for my country I am prepared to make any sacrifice.
Blackadder: I'm not I must have been paraletic.

Later on...

Ludwig: You do not recognsie me then Lord Melchett?
Melchett: No I don't believe I've had the pleasure?
Ludwig: You do not remember how on your visits to Cornwall near the old monastery that you used to converse with an old shepherd...
Melchett: Oh you're...
Ludwig: Yes. I was one of his sheep.
Melchett: No, not flossy!
Ludwig: Yes.
Melchett: But didn't we...?
Ludwig: (in louder voice) YES MY LORD MELCHETT! Baaaah!

Blackadder the Third

Sense and Sensibility

Prince Regent: What is it with these oppressed masses? What are they all so worked up about?

Blackadder: They are disgruntled sir because they are now so poor that they are forced to have extra children, simply in order to provide a cheap alternative to turkey at Christmas.

From Blackadder Goes Forth (the best series in my opinion)

Corporal punishment

Kevin Darling: You're for it now Blackadder. (turns to Melchett) Quite frankly sir I've suspected this for some time. Quite clearly Captain Blackadder has been disobeying orders with a breathtaking impertinence.

General Sir Anthony Cecil Hogmanay Melchett: I don't care if he's been rodgering the Duke of York with a prize-winning leak. HE SHOT MY PIDGEON!

Goodbye (rated as the best ever episode in a BBCi poll)

Melchett: Now soldier, (to Private S. Baldrick) Are you looking forward to giving those frenchies a damn good licking?

Captain Kevin Darling: Er no sir, it's the Germans we're supposed to be licking sir.

Melchett: (in loud voice) Don't be REVOLTING DARLING! I wouldn't lick a German if he were glazed in honey!

Baldrick, Blackadder, Melchett, in that order.
Blackadder: "What starts with "come here", and ends in "ow"?
Baldrick: "Dunno"
Blackadder: "Come here"
<Baldrick walks over, Blackadder punches him>
Baldrick: "Ow".

Or how about:
Blackadder: "One more like that Baldrick, and our friendship will be as broken as this jug"
Baldrick: "But that jug's not broken"
Blackadder: "You really do walk into these things, don't you Baldrick?"
<Smashes jug over Baldrick's head>

I can't do it. Every time I try and pick a favourite I think of another bit.

Genius it is, shear genius.

For those who want to join in!

My favourite series goes like this: 4,2,3,1
My favourite episode? Probably Field Hospital, Private Plane or Major Star from series 4.

"Edmund: Everything goes above your head, doesn't it, George? You should go to Jamaica and become a limbo dancer. "
**********************************************************
"Edmund: Excellent. Now the important thing is, that Melchett should, under no circumstances, realize that you are a man."
...
"Edmund: In order to insure this, there are three basic rules."
...
George: Excellent, sir. And what's the third?
Edmund: The third is most important, don't get drunk and let him shag you on the veranda.
**********************************************************
(after Edmund finds out that Melchett proposed to George in drag costume, AKA Georgina)

"George: Oh, well he is a general, I didn't really feel I could refuse. He might have me court martialed.

Edmund: Whereas on the other hand, of course, he's going to give you the Victoria Cross when he lifts up your frock on the wedding night and finds himself looking at the last turkey at the shop."
