Spyware Doctor, from Download.com. It scans quickly and it finds a lot.

AD-AWARE and SPY-BOT.
I use them both, both are great.
Also suggest Sygate Personal Firewall - good, and free.
I use hijack. Best to use several in combination.

Throw in AVG anti-virus and you've got a pretty good set.

1. Stop using Internet Explorer. Use Firefox - it works much better than IE, and you won't have spyware and popup problems.
2. Stop using Outlook. Use Thunderbird.
I gave up on doing the hour or two of Adaware and Spybot work every day, and still not having a clean machine. Now I'm really happy.

Personally, I use 3 programs. Adaware, Spybot and Spyware Doctor. However, if you have a bad problem, I would refer you to my "Awful Spyware" thread, where there is a lot of good advice.
