Anyone believe in chain letters?

I don't, but some bastard sent me one today. I sent them a very nasty reply and promptly deleted it. I was just wondering, though, does anyone believe in that nonsense?

You mean the usual "Forward this to 14 friends and your wishes will come true!" trash? I get them often but never bother to forward them.

Anyone ever sent or received one?

Mine said some crap about sending it to 20 people for 5 days, or a ghost of some little girl would strangle me in my bed. It said if I did as it said, good things would happen. Needless to say, the sender (whoever the heck it was) received a very nasty reply.

Y'know, it just might. You might not be so skeptical if you had seen my reply. :)

I'd get really scared from an angry e-mail from someone I don't know at all....

Best thing is to ignore it

Heh, I just love it when it says "This letter has been going round since 1897".

I hate them, prompt delete, and telling the person not to send them to me.

Grr.

No I don't. And it's IMO a waste of time.

So you better tell your friends that chain letters suck balls and tell them to get a life.

Tell 1 friend, and you'll get the girl/guy of your dreams to look at you.

Tell 2 friends, and your girl/guy would magically acquire your phone number.

Tell 5 friends, and your girl/guy would call you tonight before you sleep.

Tell 10 friends, and your girl/guy would knock on your bedroom door before you.. well, your not going to sleep tonight.

Tell 50 friends, and your girl/guy would somehow mysteriously appear under your bed dressed in S/M gear, all ready to get naughty.

Tell 100 friends, YOU DON'T HAVE A HUNDRED FRIENDS. STOP DREAMING!

I received one once. I didn't forwad it to anyone. Indeed, I cut off contact with the person who sent it.

The last person who sent me a chain letter, a good friend of mine, was promptly warned by me that i'd staple gun his [deleted in good taste] to the [deleted in good taste] wall and chop off his [deleted in good taste] and stick it on my mantle piece as a trophy! :gundge:

If you think im trolling... I really did tell him that and I was only half joking :)

The best thing to do is take their email account and give it to any dirty website that asks for one, bingo, they get flooded with spam.

And coupled with Roach's style of a nasty letter, you have a great way to get back at them.
