They Are Good Books If You Read Them Tell Me.
Yeah, I read WoT.. I've read up to Winter's Heart. (Haven't read Crossroads of Twilight or New Spring, though I own both..)

I've read all of them and it has become a bit of a trudge, now. I'm mostly continuing because no steenking series of books is going to beat me :mp5: Yes, I know that's a bit sad but hey, at least I admit it :p
It is a very imaginitive world and generally well written. I just think he's kind of lost himself in it and isn't sure where to go now...
Just my 2 cents worth :)

Damn you!!!!
I'm halfway into The Dragon Reborn
So far I've only read the first book, Eye of the World, and it is OK. If you want to get into a really good series, though, read the Song of Ice and Fire series. There are only 3 books so far. They have a gazillion characters to keep up with and all of them seem to be in trouble all of the time, but I haven't found a better series.

I have to agree with both Kryogenerica and Zooke.
I read the first 7 books but they got so boring, reptitive and annoying I gave up. From the sounds of it, Robert Jordan's in no mood to finish any time soon. He's even written a couple of prequels. Certainly after a career as a hack writer, churning out 'Conan' stories and such like, he's hit it big and determined to milk it for as long as possible.
And like Zooke, I'd recommend 'Song of Fire and Ice' series by George Martin instead. Much more realistic 3-dimensional characters in it, and so much is happening - with things never quite going right and main characters being killed off - it's hard to keep up sometimes. My biggest fear is that it might turn into a 'Wheel of Time' series and run for 10+ novels.
Back to the old days of the Trilogy I say! A good wet weekend's read that stimulates your imagination as to what happened next.

I don't think there's too much of a risk of Ice and Fire turning into a never-ending sequel series. The books are getting longer each time and the 4th book of the series has been due out (and pre-sold on Amazon) for a couple of years now. Martin's website only says he is still working on it. I have avoided reading the spoilers from it, but I'm sorely tempted!

of Ice and Fire or Wheel? Either one would have to be a 26 week series!

I've read the first Wheel of Time book, and quite frankly, I thought it was shit. Maybe the rest of the series is better, but I found the first one so tedious and boring to read. I only read the whole thing because I hate leaving books unfinished.
However, I've long been a devoted fan of David Eddings. Anyone else read any of his books? I've read all of them multiple times except for his new series which I've yet to read.

Of WoT. We were wondering how it would be pulled off. It would take a mini-series for each book. Animation might be a good way to go as well.

Excellent books, best fantasy I have read outside of tolkien. Very long however, not for the light reader. Take a break after the fist five.

The Wheel of Time Series is the only series where I have ever had to reread every book when a new one is released. They come out so far apart and they are so complex that it is hard to remember every detail of the plot. Some of the best character development I have seen in a fantasy series, too.

I used to like it, until he started making books called Rand and Friends Have a Tea Party.
Think I'm joking? Re-read that last one. The one leading up was all like "OMFG everything's about to have this huge change!" What happens then...?! NOTHING. Rand takes a bath. Matt starts to hook up with some chick. That's about it.
He's obviously milking it.
When he's DONE with the god damn series, then I'll consider it.
Death Gate Cycle is an awesome set, btw. 7 books, pretty easy, but also pretty damn in depth.
