Remember when Parliament heckled Bush?

Good times, good times. For those of you who can't remember anything other than "Bush is great, Suddam worships Satan" I'll remind you...

Back in September of 2003 Dubya (incidently this nickname is lost on Australians who pronounce the entire "dubba-you") visited the merry old Commonwealth of Australia.

After being taunted and booed from protestors outside the American embassy all night he trotted off the Parliament House. I really don't see why Johnny couldn't let his buddy sleep over in Kirri Billi House. Then again I guess Howard would have to actually stay there more than once in a blue moon to know where the guest rooms are.

After passing masses of protestors and entering Parliament House he was met first by a letter signed by 41 Members of Parliament condemning his actions, he then saw numerous MPs stocking white armbands in protest and finally was confronted by the Leader of the Greens Party who repeatedly heckled dear Dubya.

It was a proud day for all Australians, even if our government won't speak out against Bush because they are so far up his arse you can't tell where they end and Bush begins, at least our third parties will still tell that cocky wanker what's what!

I hope he comes back though, so Senator Brown and President Kick Ass* can give him the heckling of a lifetime.

*I'm working on the assumption that Natasha Stott DeSpoja returns to politcs, changes her name to Kick Ass and is elected Senate President.
