If anything he's overrated. I'd say witches, they're both misunderstood and underrated.

Joseph.

It takes a lot of self-esteem to not be bitter at the whole Immaculate Conception-Jesus, Son of God thing.

Honorable Mention:

James Wright.

Anybody know why?

I'd say Gorbachev. He's not exactly creditless or anything, but in school years are devoted to Hitler and about 2 minutes to Gorby. He just rocks. He can never be overrated.
Oh, and Stresemann. He was amazing too, but most people don't even know who he is.

Well, most of the people who call themselves witches are bullshit, but there definitely exist a large number of "true" witches in the world, most of them in places you wouldn't expect. It may surprise you to learn that every major political and religious leader in history has been a closet witch, many without even knowing it themselves.

From the Muppet Show? What about Fozzie, or the Swedish Chef?

There was a nation here called Beaker. He got permanently removed after several deletings.

He was a funny guy, and it kept him around for a long time despite numerous warnings. But he had a mouth control problem. He was a lot like me without the self-control.

I miss him. :(

God, no. Those were two other nations that got removed around that time.

Marathon was an ultra-conservative.

ANd Philandrea, oddly enough, was a militant liberal. Something I thought was an oxymoron.

They were both very rude people.

I assume you are referring to the poet, James Wright.

I think the most underrated person (and I'm going to stick to the 20th century) is, unfortunately:

J. Robert Oppenhiemer

There are numerous James Wrights apparently. I don't know if the one I admire was a poet. It seems unlikely. But if it is, that's not why I admore him.
