Personally, I live by the sea, so I'm at quite a low altitude. What about you?
Xenasia

I'm not in America or Europe but I live maybe 150 metres above sea level. I live in the hills looking over the harbour.

well looking out the window I only see fish and a shark aaahhh he's coming this wayy noooooooooooooo!
Not sure where I am at the moment isn't that far above sea level as the city I live in is right next to a port. But my house is well above sea level. It'd take a lot to flood me there!!

yeah it is. I live in Wellington, NZ if you have any idea what the harbour looks like. The city is down less than a metre above sea level. I hope all these 'global warming is a myth' people are right, because most of my city is built on land bought up in an earthquake 150 years ago, and if the water comes up a little bit the place is underwater.

it would take a fair bit of erosion to get to us up here. A moterway, main train line and at least 50 houses would go first ;)

Well, at least it's not as bad as Venice. They're sinking at the same time as the water rises. Wellington'll just build better flood defences.

Yeah thats probably true. Only the CBD and a few southern suburbs would be under threat anyway. Oh and most of the Hutt Valley, but no one cared when they got flooded earlier this year (cept them ofc)

Do you mean the having gills part or the worst film ever made* part?

No, it's tilting on a SW-NE axis - London and the SE is sinking (hurrah), and Scotland is rising.

Yup, Scotland is still on the rebound from the last ice age. It's taking ages for it to cope with the ice leaving, they were together for so long and it still keeps popping back which doesn't help.

Nah, that'll probable end up at the bottom of the sea after the next big one. What we want is a high, hot place with no earthquakes...not the Med then, damn!

Well, let's see, Ottawa is at about 294 meters above sea level. 296 in mid-january once you account for the snow...

but we DO have a nice fault line runing right through the center of town, so if we get some good tectonic action going we might just change those numbers.

i live in a teeny valley on a small hill...in the closest village to me the football pitch is right next to the river - it floods every winter and its not unusual to see swans and small flocks of birds swimming on the pitch... :D
