Not much of a shocker, but it's official. Thoughts here. For me, it is one more reason to hate the YankMEs.

Steinbrenner will try to trade him, but who will want him with this and last season.

You can tell when a team doesn't use steriods - they usually suck!

That doesn't count because players actually had to be skilled without a little miracle pill. ;)

Teams that don't likely use steroids:
Toronto
Seattle
Arizona
Pittsburgh
Montreal/Washington
Kansas City
Milwaukee

Teams that definatly do:
New York Yankees
San Francisco Giants

I'm the list of "do" is much larger and will grow with confirmation in the next few years.

I'm just loving Bonds cry of "I don't know what my trainer was giving me". What a jackass. Let him go ahead and hit all the balls he wants out of the park, just don't put any of 'em in the history books.

Oh, yeah. Take a couple of zeros off his salary, too. Love of the game and all that.

Here's a question for the thread - think fan attendance is going to drop at all due to this whole steroid mess?

Fans don't care. If their team is winning, that's all that matters.

Hey! Red Sox Nation waited 86 YEARS for what happened on October 27, 2004. Unless you can prove it, do not insinuate that great team uses steroids. They made many peoples' dreams come true, do not defame their accomplishment.

Long live Red Sox Nation!

And those Damnyankees choked this year. haha... :p

Not all of the Red Sox, but I'll bet Manny and Ortiz did. I'd say there is no way in Hell Chewbaca, err I mean Johnny Damon used steroids.

I know that, but some teams have more than others. I'll bet Paul Konerko of my Sox is using them.

Damn... my Phils have been tainted by Kenny Lofton, the former-Yankee.

Although whoever used the steroids on the Phillies should ask for their money back, because clearly it didn't work very well :p (Unless their name is Jim Thome)

Who would use them on Washington? Tony Batista, likely not. Maybe Vinny Castilla does but he'd be the only maybe on that team. They can't hit worth a darn.

I, for one, welcome all these revelations. Now we ca either choose to actually ban perfomancing enhancing drugs, or just except them.

Without doubt, we'll decide just to accept them totally and I expect lots of records to be broken for my amusement. (Which is, after all, the purpose of professional sport).

That has to be a damned simple life if one dreams of the Red Sox winning the Series.

That's like dreaming that Bill Gates finally got laid.

Oh, you'll bet, will you? That's not proof. :p I'll possibly give you Ortiz, but no way on Manny. He just packed on some lbs. He looks more flabby than thick like Bonds and Giambi. Maybe Ortiz. Maybe.

I am a little defensive about my Idiots, though. Watch out. :sniper:

Who on the BoSox looks like they used steroids? Manny? The man is tiny, ever seen him? He looks like Barry Bonds divided by two.

Ortiz? The man is big, but linebacker big. If you look at pictures of him, he has always been that size, since he was drafted. He's got the Mo Vaughn build...no need for steroids.

Damon? Tiny. Nixon? Tiny. Kapler? Professional body builder (has been on the cover of multiple fitness magazines).

Who else than? Bellhorn? Tiny. Cabrera? Tiny. Mueller? Tiny. Varitek? Small arms, massive thighs. Millar? Tiny. Minkalphabet? Tiny.

Oh I know, you must mean Pokey Reese, that notorious juicer. BoSox steroids my left nut, Nomar, probably, guys still on the team, no.

As for the Cubbies...well...lets just say Sosa and Moises "Career year at 38" Alou have some explaining to do.

Finally: Pujols is just plain ripped. He's been that big since he was a rookie. No steroids, just skill.

I only turn on games when there might be a record broken. I can't turn them off when there's a record race. And when a commercial comes on during the game, I scribble down the product and immediately purchase afterwards.

I wonder if Alou's skills have anything to do with the fact he pees on his hands to harden them because he doesn't use batting gloves, or is it just a cover up?

It's true though.

Imagine a world in which no more records will ever be broken. It would hurt crap like the olympics.

Frankly I think we'd all turn to team sports like cricket, rugby &ct. where individual skill has never been the determining factor. And I welcome it.

(ps I've just read Pandora's star so that explains my antipathy.)

Are you a Red Sox fan? Do you know any real Red Sox fans? Trust me, it was not an easy life. ;) Being a Red Sox fan is usually passed down through generations, so literally generations have been waiting to see this happen. Read the SI Sportsman of the Year issue. Unless you've been there, you have no idea how deep it runs.

The simple life is pretty nice. :D

Alou spends more time on the DL than he does on the field. (except for last year when he was the only player not on the DL)

Meh, I don't like the Cubs anyway and as a matter of fact, I don't like the NL much either. AL is better.
