Feminazis, the term, and what it originally meant

first thing, women, feminists and, as I am sure there are some ( yet hopefully not many) feminazis in the ns crowd, lets make one thing clear, first of all: The term feminazi does not have its origins in the mouth of rush Limbaugh. He did not invent the term, Maddox did. Maddox, for those who dont know ( welcome to the internet, by the way) holds the most-visited individual website in the world, which currently get more visits than the mcdonalds website, pepsi website, Kfc website, NAACP website and many others you wouldnt expect. the origins of the term Feminazi are provided in the URL posted below

http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=feminazi

2nd: Feminazi does not refer to the whole feminist movement, but rather to those extremist feminists who hate men, and have hijaked the noble goals of feminism for their own agenda, which ultimately ( there is no doubt in my mind) includes the genocide of all men.

The best thing to do is ignore these women-hating threads.

I'll take my own advice and not return.

I think we already gathered that. I have no problems with minorities wanting fair treatment. Same with women. I just have a problem when they want special treatment.

How is this even women-hating? She said right there it's the extremist feminists who are termed feminazis, not all feminists. It doesn't even talk about hate except it's those certain femenists who hate all men. Stop attacking my gender.

But I am pleasantly surprised. I learned the term on Rush's show a long time ago. I had no idea somebody else invented the term first.

Anyway by your rush to judge this thread, I dub thee a femenazi! Huah!

Women belong to their husbands as their private property, and must be treated as such. All feminazi elements must be crushed, by force if necessary. If you grant a woman some freedom or power, she will take all of it. This would eventually lead to the doom of the mankind, and must be prevented at any cost.

I honestly don't know what goes through some people's heads when they post. I hope to God this isn't serious.

I love women.

All women deserve lots of respect. Yes, even the feminazis, because they are out there fighting for what many believe, but won't get off their butts to join in the fight. Besides, radical behavior is necessary to create change.

I disagree that any one person can really be credited with the creation of any given term or word.

I started using the word feminazi all by my little own self after being harassed on a women's day march because I shave my legs.

I use it to describe feminists who try to force their particular code onto my interpretation of feminism. They try to enforce their code with the argument that "our foremothers" fought and died so you wouldn't shave your legs etc., etc. My understanding of things is that "our foremothers" fought and died so that I would have the right to choose whether or not I shave my legs, have a career, get married, (insert lifestyle choice here).

This was waaay before I had heard of Maddox, Rush Limbaugh or even some of the crazy feminist haters here (Stan Zemanek, Alan Jones, etc). Definitely before I was using the net.

I am not claiming to be the first user of the word or the originator ar anything like that, I'm just saying that I came up with it off my own bat and IMO noone can claim to "own" of be the sole creator of a word.

Just to clarify - I am a feminist, btw :)

Actually it was just very poor satire of how I see them think.

I think this thread is to point out the term Feminazi. Because the other thread about Feminists, there's been too much posting in it, that people don't really bother reading, and end up posting questions that had been answered. :p

I think I'd have to categorize any term comparing a group of people to 'nazis' as a hateful term. Considering the connotations it carries with it, can you really argue?

I think you are a little confused. The term is a "hate" term, but the thread is not a hateful thread, it is a discussion of the term. At least that's the way I'm reading it...

Didn't sound all that original to me. I've heard all of that dirge before. On what grounds is this particular ranter credited with any creativity or originality? That little rant's just as predictable as the arguments of the "other side".

hm..guess I hadnt considered that. I actually just wanted to poitn out that it is not a term invented and defined by Rush Limbaugh, and that it's more famous uses are pre-pill popper.

The problem with the word 'feminazi' is it's usage is defeatest. The converted might like it, but neutral people are likely to be 'tuned out' to what you are saying. Try as I might, I cant invest as much credibility in what someone is saying as soon as they employ terminology such as 'right wing facist' or 'liberal pinkie' to 'feminazi'. If you avoid using such terminology and just describe the behaviour or ideology that offends, your point will be made more credibly.

Using words like 'feminazi' just adds static that can cause an otherwise legitimate message to go unheard.

Damn feminazis. Ruining ambition for the rest of the female race. They are doing for feminism what men who thought headship = headtrip did for all evangelical males. :headbang:

Rather ironic, I think.
