Can't we just bomb the sites that the UN can't inspect?

The UN excels at not really inspecting anything and watching as people commit genocide while forcing UN peacekeepers to sit and watch.

It's also a keen place to get a job making a lot of money on the side. They also hire people as inspectors whose previous careers were in running sexual bondage websites.

I say we all apply for jobs as inspectors at the UN, and say we want to inspect Iran. That way, we can get plenty of cash bribes and make a lot of money the old fashioned way, and never be prosecuted for it.

That's the security council and guess who is great at making sure that goes on.

When Rwanda was going down, the US rep was instructed to never use the G word. When the death toll hit 500000, they finally said we have to investigate the claims of genocide.

We already do it. Enron and Halliburton.

Well, Enron and Halliburton never made a dime from Oil for Food. And don't tell me that the French company Thompson didn't make billions of dollars off Iraq selling weapons that were only bound to a) not work worth a damn and b) get blown up by Americans.

Think of how much Thompson made after the first Gulf War - hey Saddam, give us billions to replace all the useless crap that got blown up.

The French aren't any cleaner in all of this. Their stance on this is no different from their stance on subsidizing Airbus.

Kofi Annan is the one who directly, repeatedly, and in no uncertain terms forbade the Belgian paratroopers to act. Belgian paratroopers who were present in Rwanda and who asked Annan for permission to act and who said they could at least stop some of it.

It wouldn't surprise me at all to know that Kofi was paid for that as well.
