OFSTED inspection of Hogwarts:
"Well, it's all very good, except one thing-the pupils. Well, they can't act. I'm afraid i'll have to fail the school."
Harry crapper sucks. I don't see whats so "Great" about it. I tried reading one of the books. If it was just the story, it'd be about 12 pages long. The books are so bloody descriptive about everything that it makes me want to puke.

It's pretty much like watching a movie through a book.... no thought required.
It keeps up with the world's shortening attention span.
Harry Potter is pretty good. Granted there are better writers out there, Rowling is one of the better ones. It's a book that's easy to get lost in...you just keep turning pages and pages...and it plays out like a movie. Also, if you think Harry Potter is over-descriptive, read LotR, or for that matter, anything by Tolkien. (Like the Silmarillion)

Or really paid attention to the books.
You don't really want him back as a ghost. A person like Sirius would be miserable confined to eternal life. He's an adventurer... I would be sad if he really passed up the last great adventure.
Plus, JK has said a few times he's not coming back. But the mirror will be important later.
One thing I do know: Snape will, without a doubt, teach potions in Book 7. And he's not a vampire.

I hate Harry Potter, admittedly i used to like it when i was 9, but then I read His Dark MAterials followed by, 1984 and Lord of the Rings They opened up a whole new level of litriture for me, and Potter just seemed so boring, simplistic and predictable.
Then the movies came out...

Harry Potter is an alright series, I must admit I did read the first three before the hype, which I don't quite get. I mean, they were good... but they weren't THAT good. In my opinion. Though when I actually went to re-read the first one, I didn't make it through. Kind of like Fellowship of the Ring.
There are MUCH better books and authors than JK Rowling and Harry Potter, but then again, there are much worse. And I don't see why anyone would bother to have enough passion as to hate something a simple as a book and its characters... whether or not there's a lot of hype.
