Return of a serial killer

In case some of you have not heard yet:

http://www.cnn.com/2004/LAW/11/30/btk.killer.ap/index.html

The alleged "BTK" serial killer has resurfaced in Wichita. The article does not say it but all of the young women that were killed were college students at my university (Wichita State).

Basically, it is a surreal experience on campus. Some people are too scared to even go to class. Others complain that there is nothing to worry about. I see there point, the guy would be about 65 now, but everyone walks with an uneasy feeling on campus.

I guess the scary part is that the police, after 30 years, basically have no leads or ideas who the guy could be.

It's the zodiac guy.

If it was, the guy would be a true criminal genius.

...or just really lucky.

Did anyone ever find out what btk means? Is it the initials or does it have some meaning to the killer. Like : Be the Killed, By the knife, How did this guy kill anyway?

It sounds like the guy wants to get caught. I'd put $100 on him getting caught within a year. If you want to be a notorious serial killer you want to taunt the cops but this guy is being waaay to specific with his clues.

It means "bind, torture, kill." I can't remember if the cops gave him the name or if it was what he called himself in his letters.
