With all the scandal hitting the British royal family, it might be nice if they took a cue from the Imperial family here in Japan.

Prince Akishino has broken the silence about controversial remarks that his brother, Crown Prince Naruhito, made about Crown Princess Masako in May, saying it was "regrettable" that the Crown Prince did not consult Emperor Akihito first.

And what controversial and "regrettable" thing did Naruhito say?

The crown prince said ... that Princess Masako "has completely exhausted herself" in trying to adapt to life in the imperial family since their marriage, and still faces ups and downs in terms of her health.

"It is true that there were developments that denied Masako her career as a diplomat and went against her personality," the prince said.

In other words, "lay off the wife!"

Why are you in Japan, anyway?

If the british had any sense they would get rid of the lazy feckless inbreds and replace them with a better imported model. Like from japan.
